*This profile is set up to be shared by all 4 Birds within my flock. Although there is plenty of video footage, there are very few photos taken of them, because the flash of the camera tends to startle them.
There are not very many cases where English Budgies and Cockatiels have actually chosen to live together, but this is one such instance. I used to have 3 seperate cages set up for them, and would leave them open during free-flight time, letting them choose where they wanted to go. Somehow, they'd all end up choosing the same cage, and would have Birdy slumber-parties. Eventually, it grew pointless to keep 3 cages, so we upgraded to one better sized one and everyone seems much happier for it. I am getting pecked at now, to quit hogging their profile, so without further adue -
Malice: I'm estimated to be around 7 years old. I am a beautiful rich colored blue English Budgie (for those of you who don't know, an English Budgie is a larger, more brilliantly colored Budgie, and a Budgie is more commonly referred to as a Parakeet (although that is not a correct term), but I digress... My Mom got me over 5 years ago from a breeder. At the same time, she also got me a friend, named Electra who was a beautiful Green and Yellow male. We bonded instantly with each other, however, both of us were already adults and not used to being handled by people, so physical contact with humans has always been very stressful for us. Mommy has always been good about respecting my space. She always makes sure that I am happy and well taken care of, but leaves the partying to me and my fluffbottom buddies! 3 years ago, my beloved Electra passed away. As it turned out, Electra was MUCH older than the breeder had told Mommy, so his death was very unexpected at the time. I mourned him for a very long time, rocking quietly in the love swing we once shared. I will always miss my hot green stallion! Now I have a new mate named Peter, and I love him very much! I also like to eat, play, NAG, and preen!
Peter: My name is Peter Parakeet and I'm a Sky-Blue English Budgie, estimated to be around 3 - 3 1/2 years old. I'm the newest arrival to our flock, and so far I'm really liking it. My girlfriend is this hot chicky named Malice and she's pretty smokin'! Although still a little shy around people, I will occassionally fly onto Mom's shoulder, but don't really like her hand getting anywhere near me. I'm also a compulsive masturbator! Alllll Right! Giggity giggity giggity!
Miss Anne Thrope: My full name is Miss Anne Thrope Frostine and I am a 4 year old Albino Cockatiel. My Mommy got me when I was only 10 weeks old, so we bonded instantly! I love to be my Mommy's shadow and ride around on her shoulder, preening her and chewing on her sunglasses! I have successfully mastered one trick only, but am working on others. Currently, I will sit on Mom's shoulder, and she will look at me and say "Gimme kiss!", and I'll put my beak to her lips and kiss her! Then I quickly turn my head for my reward! I LOVE when Mommy rubs my neck! Sometimes I get mad if Mommy stops rubbing me, and I'll start throwing a hissy fit and will pretend to bite her! But I'm only teasing! My Boyfriend's name is Stewart and he's pretty cool, but I don't like it when he tries to take Mom's attention away from me. He makes it up to me later though, and porks me like you wouldn't believe!
Stewart: I'm what's known as a Whiteface Gray Cockatiel. My age is unknown, but I am estimated to be around 4-5 years old. I wasn't really handled much as a baby, so I am new to the whole "hop up" thing. Although sometimes I'll fuss, I will get up on Mom's hand if she makes me. Sometimes, I'll even fly over to her and sit on her shoulder or arm. I am THE talker in this flock and really enjoy my conversations with Mom! So far, I fox whistle constantly and have successfully mastered the full sentence "Whatcha Doin'?" while raising my foot up in the air (I haven't learned to wave yet, but I'm getting there). Mom is also trying to teach me to say "Look What I Can Do!", but so far it's just coming up as gibberish. My girlfriend is a really hot white chick who knows how to work it!
