About Me

Hi! My name is Halo and I am a 1 year old Siberian Husky! I am truly a walking, talking, living miracle, all thanks to a wonderful organization - The Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida! - www.siberrescue.com
For you see... My story is one of great suspense and intrigue! But luckily, it has a VERY happy ending, thanks to all the dedicated Volunteers with this Rescue who fought so hard to save my life, as well as the lives of my family!
A year ago, my birth Mommy was picked up as a stray and taken to an Animal Shelter. They were so slammed with Dogs, that they decided her time was up, and they were going to put her to sleep! The sickest part of the whole situation, is my Mommy was SO pregnant, she was ready to pop, and those mean old Vets at the Shelter were going to put my Mommy down, with US MOVING AROUND INSIDE OF HER!!
The Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, caught wind of this travesty, and stepped in just in the knick of time! They got into a verbal confrontation with the Veterinary Staff, but were successfully able to spring my Mama just hours before she was set to be put down! It was SO close in timing, that my Mommy actually started labor contractions in the car ride back to the Foster Coordinator's house!
10 hours later, 7 little Miracle Puppies were born. I was the cutest one, naturally. :)
We remained in our Foster home for a couple of months, until we were old enough to be adopted out. The Husky Rescue has gone through great lengths to find all of us the perfect Forever homes, and have been EXTREMELY picky about who they let adopt us! - In fact, there are still a couple of us left, so please visit www.siberrescue.com if you are interested in applying for one of my Brothers or Sisters!
As of now, *I* am the only Pup who has been adopted by one of the Rescue's volunteers. My Mommy fell in love with me instantly, and knew there was a great cosmic reason as to why we met.
You see, my Mommy adopted my big Sister Maya from the Rescue, April of 2006, and has been a very active Volunteer with the Rescue ever since. About 2 years ago, she had a very vivid dream where Maya found a little white Husky Puppy in the woods. That dream always stuck with her... and the little Puppy even made several cameos in dreams which followed after. My Mommy took it as a sign, and told herself that if the Rescue ever happened to get in a teeny tiny white Puppy, she would know that it was not a coincidence!
So sure enough, poof! There I was! Now I live in my Forever home with my Mommy, my big Sister Maya (who steals my toys), and 2 Kitty Cat Brothers - Edgar and Butters
I am a very happy Puppy, and I love, love, love to cause trouble and wreak havoc, as any Husky Puppy does! I am a whirlwind of energy, and love to seek and destroy the cutest and fluffiest of stuffed animals and pillows! I am also a cry baby and if I have a problem with something, I will not rest until I make sure you know ALLLLLL about it! Wooooo Woooooo WoooooooOOOooOOooOoo! Oh, and I'm a total Boy, and LOVE to get down and dirty!
