My name is Sadie and I am 1 year old. Long ago, my Mommy was searching the local shelters for Siberian Huskies (as part of her volunteer work with the Rescue), and she decided to take a look in the Kitty section, and that's when she saw my picture and fell in love with me! She decided to come visit me, and that's when she saw my new Brother Edgar. There were SO many Kittens at the Shelter that day (it's been a bad year for Pet over-population) and it was tough to get noticed. I was very shy and timid at first, so Mommy bonded with Edgar who's personality stood out more. When Mommy decided to try to meet me, I was pretty nervous and shied away, but as soon as I saw that she wasn't going to hurt me, I warmed right up to her and didn't want her to leave me! I am a Black and White Tuxedo Kitten (My Mommy has always wanted one! And I look a lot like Mommy's Bunny, Sylvester, who passed away a few years ago). I am also a Manx Kitty (which means I don't have a tail) so Mommy is convinced I am part Bunny (I even hop like one when I'm really excited). My Mommy decided to adopt both Edgar AND Me and now we're having the best time in our new home!!
I've got a big Brother named Thomas, and a big Sister named Lolita who at first didn't like Edgar or Me. We took some time to bond and now we're all the best of friends! I also have a REALLY big Sister named Maya, who I was really afraid of at first. I watch her play and snuggle with Edgar, so maybe some day I'll be brave enough to try it! I just got a new baby Brother named Butters who was homeless too!
I am still a little shy at first around strangers, but as soon as one pets me, I warm up immediately! I LOVE to snuggle, am very sweet and girly, and love to raise hell with Edgar and Butters (especially when Mommy is sleeping!)
I have the sharpest claws in the world (even after they're trimmed) so Mommy ordered me hot pink Soft Paws, and now I'm extra pretty!
I love to hide under the bed and attack when you least expect it, and Mommy calls me her Bedskirt Bandit! I also like to sleep in the most obscure places in the house... It's kind of like playing Where's Waldo.
I am so glad to be here with my wonderful new Family! Meow!
