Leader and founder of the band, The Reverend Tony Hughes comes from a long line of jazz musicians. His father played with Wes Montgomery and his grandfather played radio shows back in the 30's and 40's. So for him it was really the only thing he knew growing up. The Rev. has always had a love for music of all styles, and its apparent from the sound that Jesus Presley creates.
Since 1995: Jesus Presley has been banned from the Portland Bite, had gigs canceled at the Hilton in Las Vegas, been ask not to attend any functions at city hall, crowned 6 Miss White Trash Pageant winners, been in High Times Magazine, had music stolen by Clear Channel radio stations, played every venue in Portland, recorded 8 cds, changed saxophone player 12 times, done work for TV, hosted an amazing holiday show every year since 1999, sold Last Supper Table wine, fuck you Satan t-shirts and Get Out of Hell Free Cards, turned down a deal with Sony, given away toasters, hot plates, candy, liquor, beauty products, a 1969 Ford F-250, canned meat products and have always remembered, it's about fun.

Love, Dread Zeppelin, El Vez, Alien Fashion Show, Pink Martini, Royal Crown Revue, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Tommy Tutone, Bo Diddley, Hit Explosion, Pepe & The Bottle Blonds, Tuatara, Everclear, Cheap Trick, Bobby Torres, Johnny Martin, The Nightcaps, Tony Starlight, Rubberneck, Hank the Angry Dwarf, Super Sonic Soul Pimps, Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs.
