The Australian Music "scene" is made up of people from the cross section of the people who make Australia the Greatest Country in the World, in spite of a lot of screw ups along the way and much still needing work.
Thanks to MySpace, and believe me, this is where it has all happened, I have discovered that Australia is a Magnet for People who have Music in their Soul. Music is everywhere, from the beach to the bush, from The Tip and the Torres Strait to Hobart, and from Byron Bay to Carnarvon and in every town, station, village or settlement, camp ground, caravan park or by a billabong while the billy boils, there is music, and people with music in their Souls.
Australia has awesome music and awesome artists that should be heard by the world. "We are one, we are many, and from all the lands on earth we come". Well, the same is true with the music, and there are some of the finest talents, in every genre conceivable, much of which originated with the Musicians Ancestry and carries with it the future of Australian Music.
Music has no borders, no boundaries. It has no politics, even when the performers and the songs and the industry do. I have never been so proud to become a part of anything in my life as I have the friendships, the knowledge and the music that I have found among the Independent Artists of Australia.
This is what Downunda Thunda Radio is all about. You, all of you, have designed it in my heart and my mind, and now it is my gift to You and to Australia.
