Welcome to myspace! "CURVY JANE" is my aka. I am a moderately successful Songwriter with several TOP 10 National Charted Songs, including CMAA Award Winning Song, "Candlelight & Kisses" (with Award Winning Country Music Duo Carter & Carter);2003 MUSICOZ APRA Song of the Year "Some Men Just Let Go" (Michael King), 1997 CMAA Awards "New Talent" Nominated Song and ASAI Country Song of the Year "No Surrender Romeo", amongst others. I have also written jingles for SSS/ Stetson's BBQ Barns, Mitsubishi Motors and First National Real Estate. I write Songs for Children and was a Finalist in the 2007 ISC. I have Won 20+ Songwriting Awards (Including The ASAI Rudy Brandsma Award) but it's the REWARD of being a Songwriter that I am most Proud of. It has given me LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS and the privilege of working with other Songwriters and Amazing Artists. This is what matters most...PEOPLE!My forte is TnC but I write Contemporary Country, Roots, Pop/Rock, World Music and Children's Songs. I LOVE the feel of GOSPEL Music and the spirit of it! I believe it's okay to use a banjo in a ROCK song and a Sax in a Country Song... MIX IT UP...there are NO RULES in creative expression of music!I LOATHE Narcissistic people who use others for self-gain. My mantra in life is..."The greatest good we can do for others is not give them of our own wealth but to show them their own". I was in Music Mgmt. & Promotion for many years (Semi-Retired) and helped kickstart a few Careers. They know who they are. (VERY PROUD of you all) Everyone needs and deserves someone to believe in them without condition.
