Allison Forbes

Allison grew up in in a small country town just outside Tamworth and has had music in her blood. She has been performing and entertaining since she was very young. She began singing in the local church and went on to compete in some local country music competitions and joined the Tamworth Musical Society for several years, which became pivotal in learning to be on a live stage. Joining a rock covers band in the earlier noughties, saw Allison discover her talent for singing with a more gritty and powerful vocal style. After relocating to Newcastle, Allison has slowly developed her songwriting skills through life experiences and studied music business and technology at the Hunter Institute of Tafe for 2 years. Now working with a local covers band (Final Warning) on the weekends, Allison has kept her techniques fresh and is constantly improving her style and stage presence. She has recently uploaded 2 of her original songs onto the famous Triple J 'Unearthed' website in the hopes of finding a larger audience for her own music.
