Formed in July 2007 The Thieving Gypsies are an excitable three piece hailing from Gippsland.Drawing on influences from many different genres around the globe The Thieving Gypsies aim to create music that is infectious, original and diverse.The Thieving Gypsies are constantly working on writing new material and when possible will get some more recordings done and then uploaded. In the meantime keep checking back for upcoming gigs and all that other jazz.
* 09/11/2007 - The Thieving Gypsies recently played at the Latrobe Art Gallery in support of the Yallourn Tafe arts exhibiton. Judging by the response towards the band afterwards by the crowd it appears the Gypsies may have more gigs in the not so distant future. * till then... **11/01/2008 - The Thieving Gypsies played at bassist Rob’s 21st birthday party along with the talented Yelka Ishmakovich and 47 Angry Seagulls..judging by the dancing, jumping around and positive feedback the performance was an enjoyable one.** ***05/04/208 - The Thieving Gypsies performed at the Gippslife Alternative Festival at Gippsland Heritage Park to a very very small crowd. Thanks goes out to those who made their way over and had a listen.
