What is the impetus behind Fred dAvis?
Desire.
Desire to understand.
Desire to understand the foundations of music.
Desire to understand myself.
Understanding one is understanding the other.
Understanding one is all I need.
Fred dAvis has been involved in many project since his not so humble beginning in Fall of 2007. Included are The Semantics (With Scott Williams of The SAW Project), The Prodigal Sons (With Kount Kremlin and Jacques), T-Minus & the 3, 2, 1's, Fred Davis & the Socratic Snake that Eats Itself, and, most recently, Fred dAvis & the Inside Voices.
With either too much or not enough self-esteem Fred dAvis spends most of his time always writing and never performing. The few performances he does give are of songs he's just finished writing and will probably never play again-for his friends and family, and only the ones he likes at that.
With countless songs and albums, most of his material never has seen the light of day. But Fred is not discouraged or unsatisfied. He is perfectly happy being the only one listening. Perfectly happy.
