About Me

Writer, filmmaker, office drone by day...former Southern Californian and Montrealer who feels completely rootless and disconnected here in Toronto. I've only ever felt really at home in Seattle, if you can figure THAT one out.
Okay...what else to say? Movies are my big passion, both watching and making. I'm currently trying to find a producer for my new feature script, a vampire epic set in Montreal. I've also got a couple of short scripts on the go if the opportunity to produce presents itself again. A few years back I made one, a short called "Coming Soon: Fire And Ice," a kinda-funny mockumentary about the behind-the-scenes lives of Toronto superheroines. There's a behind-the-scenes clip down below this blurb. The movies's pretty cool, though I think it worked a bit better on paper (it seems to go over best with other comics fans). I am proud of it though, it was my first time behind the camera since university, and it was a pretty ambitious production.
I'm currently working in a building services call centre to pay the bills. Not exactly a dream come true (once and a while I think about my years at film school and just want to weep...just kidding), but if anything it provides me with grist for future scripts.
My friend and ex-roommate Kelly turned me on to this site and it seems pretty cool so far. I'm looking to meet all sorts of people, whether it's for friendship, dating, business (any other local Hogtown indie filmmakers out there, drop a line!) or any other reason. Hi, everybody.
One more thing: if you're a band, thanks but please don't send me an invite to your page. If I dig your music, I'll find you. There are a number of bands in my friends list already, some came to me, some I sought out, some I stumbled upon by accident and became a fan of unexpectedly. The sad fact is I don't really have the time to download all your tracks and form an opinion. Thanks.

Which Twin Peaks character are you?
You're Agent Albert Rosenfield, the snide and superior forensics expert. Your tongue is sharper than your scalpel, and it doesn't take long for people to start hating you for your supercilious quips, but you are the very best at what you do. You don't suffer fools gladly, but you give respect when it's due. In fact, you're a good guy at heart, but so wedded to your sarcasm that you can rarely stand to treat people kindly.
