About Me

Y helo thar!
1. Do you make all your own costumes?
~ Indeed, I do! I own a Bernina overlocking serger and a casual Viking sewing machine.
2. Do you take commissions?
~ Weeeeeell...that depends. I'm used to creating things for myself, but I could try to fit other people, but it all depends on my schedule. Message me!
3. Will you do [enter character name here]?
~ Please feel free to leave a comment or message me with any suggestions/requests you may have. I love receiving and considering them. :) Who knows, it may already be in the works!
4. ZOMG Are those real?!?!
~ Yes. Yes they are. I'm a cosmic joke and a genetic anomaly in my family.
5. Are you a model?
~ Nah, not really. I'm just a gal who likes to get dressed up and who sometimes manages to be photogenic. If you'd like me to be involved in a project of yours, though, drop me a line or two!
6. Why does it take you so much time to answer messages?
~ To be frank, it's because I have a rather busy life. While I appreciate and read every message I get, I don't always have the time to answer. If it's time sensitive, I'll answer ASAP, but if it's casual chatting, please be patient.
7. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
~ This is always a toughie, but I think I'd have to cop out and say Copycat...because she can be anyone down to a cellular level. Why chose one when you can have them all? ;)
8. What current titles do you read?
~ First off, I do enjoy Marvel over DC; it's what I grew up with, though I'm open to recommendations. Currently I'm subscribed to: X-Men First Class, X-Men, X-Factor, New Avengers, Astonishing X-Men (when it comes out! *fistshake*), Runaways, Y the Last Man, Anita Blake (yeah, yeah, guilty pleasure...), and whatever happens to catch my eye when browsing, really.
9. Who's your favourite artist?
~ I have three! Mark Brooks, for his overall style, the look, feel, and portrayal of all his sketches. Joseph Michael Linsner for knowing what a true woman should look like. Lastly, Adam Hughes for his own fantastic portrayal of the female form.
I can believe things that are true and I can believe things that aren't true and I can believe things where nobody knows if they're true or not. I can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles and Elvis and Mister Ed. Listen - I believe that people are perfectible, that knowledge is infinite, that the world is run by secret banking cartels and is visited by aliens on a regular basis, nice ones that looks like wrinkledy lemurs and bad ones who mutilate cattle and want our water and our women. I believe that the future sucks and I believe that the future rocks and I believe that one day White Buffalo Woman is going to come back and kick everyone's ass. I believe that all men are just overgrown boys with deep problems communicating and that the decline in good sex in America is coincident with the decline in drive-in movie theatres from state to state. I believe that all politicians are unprincipled crooks and I still believe that they are better than the alternative. I believe that California is going to sink into the sea when the big one comes, while Florida is going to dissolve into madness and alligators and toxic waste. I believe that antibacterial soap is distroying our resistance to dirt and disease so that one day we'll all be wiped out by the common cold like the Martians in War of the Worlds. I believe that the greatest poets of the last century were Edith Sitwell and Don Marquis, and that jade is dry dragon sperm, and that thousands of years ago in a former life I was a one-armed Siberian shaman. I believe that mankind's destiny lies in the stars. I believe that candy really did taste better when I was a kid, that it is aerodynamically impossible for a bumblebee to fly, that light is a wave and a particle, that there's a cat in a box somewhere who's alive and dead at the same time (although if they don't ever open the box to feed it it'll eventually just be two different kinds of dead), and that there are stars in the universe billions of years older than the universe itself. I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise, and sheer blind luck. I believe that anyone who says that sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too. I believe in absolute honesty and sensible social lies. I believe in a woman's right to choose, a baby's right to live, that while all human life is sacred there's nothing wrong with the death penalthy if you can trust the legal system implicitly, and that no one but a moron would ever trust the legal system. I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it. ~ Neil Gaiman American Gods

I'd like to meet:

Geeks, in every form and fashion. People who are heroes on the weekend, creators of fantastic worlds, who know how to lose themselves both in themselves and the people who surround them.
I'm looking for people who love life and love living it, who aren't shy of what they are, who believe in uniqueness and the act of breaking the social norm.
If you're open-minded, free spirited, and creative to the core, if you adore obsessing 110% over pure imagination, if music rocks your soul, throw me a message sometime!

Music:

U2 = 3 Other than that, I'm an easy-going gal. I love music, mostly of the rock & roll persuasion. Everything from NIN to Incubus, Sublime to Metallica, Hendryx to Modest Mouse, Blue Man Group to Tom Petty. The only music I have an outright hard time listening to is country, rap, and bubblegum pop. I also enjoy classical music when the mood suits me. I'm open to suggestions!

Movies:

Favourites!
Trilogy: LOTR
Animation: The Last Unicorn
Fantasy: Dragonheart
Sci-Fi: Blade Runner (Director's Cut)
Disney: Chronicles of Narnia
Comic into Movie: Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer
Action: Indiana Jones - Last Crusade
Drama: The Prestige
Comedy: Dodgeball
Shakespeare: Much Ado About Nothing
Musical: The Phantom of the Opera

Television:

I don't tend to watch much TV... Netflicks is my friend. I do enjoy Dr. Who, NCIS, and various Discovery channel shows. I also like anime - Trigun being my absolute favourite, along with Hellsing, FMA, Cowboy Beebop and Samurai Champloo - as well as old school cartoons.

Books:

COMICSSSS! Other than that, pretty much anything to do with dragons, a melange of sci-fi/fantasy authors, and those hilarious oddity books...such as the Zombie Survival Guide, or Why Do Men Have Nipples? Plays are always a huge plus, too. Always open for reading suggestions!

Heroes:

Real-life people who perform the duties of super heroes. People who accomplish great and small for the betterment of the world.
