Number Six

I am not a number! I am a free man!

About Me

I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or numbered! My life is my own!For the past few years, I have been held against my will in a place known only as "The Village". My days tend to be quite predictable - wake up, get interrogated, try to escape, go to bed. I am not clear who runs this place, whether it's "us" or "them" or both or neither. My enemy is the man known as Number Two, who seems to have been assigned the task of breaking me in order to find out why I resigned. I am so sick of that guy. He really gets on my tits.

Also, everyone here dresses like a goddamn hippie. They all drive Mini Mokes, and whenever I try to do anything this bloody great balloon tries to suffocate me. And there's a dwarf butler, who frankly bothers me and I can't say why.

My Interests

I'm telling you nothing.

I'd like to meet:

Number One. I wouldn't mind meeting John Steed again, or alternatively a woman who isn't trying to find out why I resigned. I'm a very lonely man.

Music:

I suppose this is some sort of psychological exercise, yes? Some way to get me to reveal my subconscious workings. Very well, for all the good it will do you, "Tom".

Movies:

Ice Station Zebra

Television:

Danger Man

Books:

The Trial

Heroes:

In this filthy business there are no heroes.

My Blog

666

At the time of writing, I have 666 friends on my list. Is this significant, I wonder? I seem to have struck a chord concerning the problem of Myspace musicians, based upon the volume of correspondence...

Why I do what I do

A question I have been asked more than once is, why exactly do I fight the Village? After all, they aren't going to kill me, they don't even seem to want to do me any permanent harm. And it's a very p...

I am definitely not on an island

A chap named David informs me that the Village is not located on an island. He knows a great deal about the Village. Almost... too much.

I do not live on an island

I wish to get this straight. I do not live on an island. I live in a village. Possibly the village is on an island, I do not know. Pedantry is not the issue here.

Number 49 is throwing her weight around

Number 49 is starting to annoy people around here. The "hyper link" will show you just one example of this. Number 49 is shapely and feisty with an anarchist streak, and appears to share my ideas...

Number Seven

I ran out of sugar this morning and therefore decided to ask Number Seven if he/she (I've never met them, so I can't say for sure) would lend me some. I don't take sugar other than to annoy Numbe...

Number Twos I Have Known

I have been wondering lately what happens to Number Two when his work is done. Is he sent to some sort of prison? Is he released into the outside world until required again? It's a puzzle. Therefore, ...

I Have Had An Idea

A new Number 2 arrived today. As usual, we had that same exchange that we always have. I ask him where I am, he doesn't tell me, it ends with him laughing and me running around on the beach like a mad...

Metafictions annoy me

Many of my recent messages (at least, the ones not asking me why I resigned or what flaws I've spotted in Village security lately) have mentioned a television series called The Prisoner. What little I...

Friends of Six

I must admit that I have not written much recently. I have been consumed by my art. I plan to make a painting so utterly hypnotizing that whilst Number 2 and Rover are tranced by its subtle but d...
