About Me

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world's turning and you can't quite believe it because everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it. The turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour and the entire planet is hurtling around the sun at 67,000 miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go... That's who I am. I am The Doctor. I was born under the sign of crossed computers as one of forty-five cousins of the Looms of House Lungbarrow in the Prydonian Chapter on planet Gallifrey in the contellation of Kasterborous. I was raised on the side of Mount Lung, overlooking the Cadonflood river, two days from Rassilon's Rampart, where I spent many an afternoon learning from an old Hermit who taught me to see beauty in a single daisy, and warned me of frightening monsters, like the Fendahl and Zagreus, and told of an Age of Vampires. I studied at the Prydon Academy under Borusa, and worked as a Scrutionary Archivist in the Prydonian Chapterhouse Bureau of Possible Events, but I grew tired of perpituity, and decided I wanted more. Oh, so much more. Though I was once President of the High Council on Gallifrey, I left my people to explore Time and Space, to discover new worlds, new Peoples, and right injustices. Alright, so I stole a TARDIS, an acronym for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, a sort of transdimensionally engineered time machine that got stuck in the shape of a 1950's British Police Box when the chamelion circuit went defunct, but nobody's perfect, eh? Now, I'm just a wandering Time Lord, believed to be the last of the Time Lords after a great Time War, though the Face of Boa has recently told me "You are not the last"... And though I may wander, I've made the Earth, planet Terra in the System of Sol, my new home from home. Because I just adore you humans! Still, what's to do but finish a revolution, save a planet or two from destruction, just in time for tea and some chips. When you go back to the stars and tell others of this planet, when you tell them of its riches, its people, its potential, when you talk of the Earth, then make sure you tell them this. It... is... defended!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNUereUDQqA

My Interests

Interests? Hmmm? Stopping wars, saving oppressed, causing a ruckus. Traveling through Time and Space in a dimensionally trancendental Time Ship. But what truly interests me? Who am I, really? Am I funny? Am I sarcastic? Sexy? Right old misery? Life and soul? Right-handed, left-handed, a gambler, a fighter, a coward, a traitor, a liar, a nervous wreck? I mean, judging by the evidence, I've certainly got a gob. My heresies appall you, my theories outrage you, I never answer letters, and you don't like my tie! I can't stand burnt toast. I loathe bus stations, terrible places, full of lost luggage and lost souls. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's being tortured by someone with cold hands. I never carry weapons. If people see you mean them no harm, they never hurt you. Nine times out of ten. I love cricket, jelly babies, and righting wrongs, defending the defenseless through time and space. I'm missing my recent traveling companion "Rose". There's no flower quite like a rose. Gallifreyans call a rose "Sarlain", and hold it in deep respect. But now I've got the wonderful Martha Jones onboard, more than a match for any invading monsters, I'll say! I only take the best! How about you? Are you up for an adventure? Interests? If you want to learn more, come with me and let's find out.

I'd like to meet:

I could possibly use a bit less of meeting Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Autons, Zygons, Slitheen, Plasmavores, Haemovores, Daemons, Krill, Yeti, Silurians, Hoothi, Gelth, Krillitanes, Axons, Jagaroth, Sycorax, Draconians, Ice Warriors, Chelonians, Vampires, The Racnos, Kronos, Mandragora, Yssgaroth, Carrionites, Terrileptils, N-Forms, the Rani, the Gelth, Weng-Chiang, Light, the Rutans, Sutekh, the Family of Blood, Mis-informed Nanogenes, the Wire, Gavroc and his Bannermen, Weeping Angels, the Norebo Worm, the Nestenes, the Macra, Beep the Meep, Gellguards, Kraals, Krynoids, Eldrad, Valdemar, Terran Kapel, Tobias Vaughn, Silver of Hope, the Fendahl, the Cailleach, Omega, Mawdryn, the Black Guardian, the Malus, The Ragman, Androgums, Reapers, Cheetah People, Mordred, Salamander, the Absorbaloff, Toclafane, Isolus, the Nazis, the Celestis, the Judoon, the Psionic Brotherhood, Faction Paradox, Sabbath or The Master. So, who would I like to me? Well, I've seen a lot of this universe. I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demi-gods and would-be gods. I've had the whole pantheon. But if I believe in one thing... just one thing... I believe in you. Homo Sapiens. What an inventive, invincible species! It's only a few million years since you crawled up out of the mud and learned to walk. Puny, defenceless bipeds. You've survived food, famine and plague, you've survived cosmic wars and holocausts and now, here you are, out amid Myspace, soon to be among the stars, ready to begin a new life, ready to outsit eternity. You are indominable. That's who I want to meet. You. Each one of you. A mouse in front of a lion. You're amazing. The lot of you. Don't know what you do to most, but you frighten the hell out of me. Off you go, then. Do what you got to do. Save the world.http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/The_Tenth_Doctor
