About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorHi, how are you? I'm a single parent and student - I'm studying BAHons Fine Art / Illustration at University. I LOVE Art, music, live music and reading. I'm not interested in collecting a large amount of random strangers - I believe in quality, not quantity...! I SEEM TO BE GETTING A LARGE AMOUNT OF FRIEND REQUESTS FROM RANDOM BANDS THAT I'VE NEVER HEARD OF IN MY LIFE!!! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE FRIEND REQUESTS WITHOUT BOTHERING TO AT LEAST SAY HELLO!! IT'S SO RUDE!!!! I've been described as "enthusiastic and creative, capable of amazing nimble-footed lateral thinking jumps".The blackbird is my artist sig, as I always hear blackbirds chirruping away and going "cha cha cha cha cha!" happily - a bit like me!! ha ha! Whistler was "The Butterfly", Edgar Allen Poe had The Raven; Misery! Blackbirds go boldly forth in the bright sunshine!!My work is a diverse mixture of various influences and techniques. My fine art practice combines illustration with film and video in an exploration of the technique of rotoscoping, including narrative, poetry, dreams, and epistemology; Jorge Luis Borges and the theories of the science fiction writer Philip K. Dick inform my work. An early art animation is available to view in the video section. Please fell free to leave a comment there :-) I must stress that I'm not an animator, it was the first animation I made independently, and is a work of art that is a dialectic between Richard Linklater's 2001 film Waking Life, Gaston Bachelard and Borges. The rest of my art work is on another myspace page: www.myspace.com/helen_blackbirdOne day Morten will visit my future art exhib and it'll be like Notting Hill!!! ha ha! - I always was a dreamer....!This is our lecture theatre: http://www.thejollybrewer.co.uk/Narrated by: Gunnar Erfjord
