I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Greetings,I'm David Demaine, 25 years old (plus VAT) and come from darkest Nottinghamshire.Until the end of April I was a civil servant toiling away deep within the bowels of the British Geological Survey Minerals Dept, plotting quarry locations on maps across England. Now I'm between jobs (available for work hint-hint), and I am relishing a fresh challenge! Before BGS I was working at the Shepherds Restaurant as a "front of house team member" part-time, a job I continued for a short while from when I graduated from university. I have also managed to fit in work experience with Central News East and the East Midlands Gov News Network. As well as temping in a maggot farm, aircraft parts warehouse and marketing company. As you do. ------Photos on the slide-show below are ones that I have taken myself; please go to View Pictures for more detail. If you want to email/MSN me the address is: [email protected]*I'm also available on Facebook!!* Throw a sheep at me, you know you want to... .. .. .. ..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Out of curiosity, if not for an autograph: Ian Hyland, Carol McGiffin, Ian Hislop, Su Pollard, Graham Fellows, Victoria Wood, Ken Dodd, Rustie Lee, Paul O'Grady, Peter Kay, Sam Callis, Magne Furuholmen, Simon Amstell and Tomasz Schafernaker. Sadly I never got to meet the late, great Richard Whiteley or Les Dawson.Otherwise: The visionary, the whimsical, the ironic, the iconic, the iconoclastic, the downtrodden, the arcane, the affable, the eccentric, the creative, the intellectual colossi and the downright insane. But not my maker... just yetI'm here for networking/ friends, as they say. I also have other motives for my being here:I hope you enjoy my photography/writing work here (added to frequently!) and that you are impressed by it; feel free to get in contact with me, to be dazzled with my witty repartee. On reflection, probably just the former.**And for those who know me, it is true: I have become a self-parody of a parody of a self-parody. You've guessed it... post-post-modern
