Founded by Adele Ingram-Magee in 2005 Chicks with Picks is an accumulation of female singer/songwriters and guitarists from all over the North of Ireland. This is a great opportunity for talented ladies who wish to showcase their songs to an attentive and appreciative audience.
For the past few years Adele has been combing the musical landscape to find accomplished female guitar players to join "Chicks with Picks". There is often a guest slot for visiting female artists worldwide. Watch this space!
Gender bending stringsters are difficult to find but hopefully with this initiative they will start coming out of the woodwork.

    Sounds Like: HATCHED 2006 - aLive & Unplucked CD !!!!

    A ticklish little kiss on your earlobe from red-winged Angels...
    This album was recorded in the summer of 2006. The recording was almost done totally live, ie. very little over-dubbing only on the following 2 tracks:
    'Daughter of a King' by Sheila Smyth where the artist was playing both piano and guitar 'Old Quoile River' by Laura Plummer where the artist was singing both the main vocal and harmony line.
    We hope you enjoy the tracks here on myspace and of course we would encourage you to buy the CD, a worthwhile addition to any acoustic music lover's collection.
