HELLO THERE, MY NAME IS RUTH MCGONAGLE, WHICH IM SURE YOU HAVE GATHERED. I AM A SINGER/SONGWRITER AND IM FROM BELFAST. FROM THE AGE OF 5 I BEGAN MY MUSICAL PATH ON PIANO. I HAVE NOW REACHED WHICH I FEEL IS THE TOP OF MY ABILITY ON PIANO. AS I HAVE BEEN CLASSICALLY TRAINED I HAVE ACHIEVED DIPLOMA STANDARD ON THIS INSTRUMENT. NOT BEING ABLE TO STICK WITH ONE INSTRUMENT I DECIDED AT THE AGE OF 9 I WOULD LEARN HOW TO PLAY VIOLIN, TO WHICH I HAVE REACHED GRADE 7. JUST TO ADD I ALSO PLAY CLARINET. haha. ANYWAY AS I SAID I NEVER KNOW WHEN TO STOP. I WANTED TO LEARN MORE, THEREFORE AT THE AGE OF 17 I PICKED UP A GUITAR NOT HAVING A NOTION HOW TO PLAY IT, I WAS MORE DETERMINED, IT NEVER FELT AS EASY AS THE REST OF THE INSTRUMENTS I PLAY. SOOOOO...... I DECIDED TO RELY ON MY FRIEND JENNIFER TO TEACH ME, NOT KNOWING THAT THIS WAS THE INSTRUMENT THAT I WOULD BE MOST FOND OF, I TOOK LESSONS EVERY WEEK WITH HER!!! ANYWAY, SHE WAS SUPBERB, AS I GOTTA ADMIT I AINT THAT GOOD A STUDENT. (WELL SO IM TOLD) I BEGAN WRITING SONGS ON GUITAR FROM THE AGE OF 17. STILL NOT KNOWING THAT ONE DAY I WOULD ACTUALLY BE GIGGING OR RECORDING AN EP. SO I GOTTA TELL YA, IM LOVING EVERY MINUTE.I HAVE NOW COMPLETED MY FIRST EP, WHICH IS CALLED 'PIECES OF YOU.'If I could have just one wish, I would wish to wake up everyday to the sound of your breath on my neck, the warmth of your lips on my cheek, the touch of your fingers on my skin, and the feel of your heart beating with mine... Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you.
