Dawn's Video of How We Die This song was Dawn's favorite, meant the most to her, and was the last one she recorded before losing her battle with cancer. If you like it please pass it on for others to see. Thanks for your support.
The following link is to a story that outlines the reasons why I am so dedicated to finding a CURE for cancer:

DAWN
Before leaving us Dawn expressed this:
This may be the hardest part of my musical journey. There is a fine line between telling the truth and not appearing to use a hardship to gain sympathy or support. I have seen so many situations where people use their misfortune to obtain what they do not deserve.. I do not want to be one of those individuals. Before I expose my truth I only ask that you judge the music based on what you hear and feel. Do not let my circumstances interfere with you expressing your opinion, good or bad.
Since I can remember I have always been singing. Throughout the years I missed many opportunities because I did not know, or understand, what commitment and dedication was. Then about three years ago I was told I had cancer. Not the kind of cancer they can currently remove or cure. But a cancer that has spread through out my body. It is currently being controlled, but it’s not a matter of if, but when.
At first there was not a day that went by that I did not ask myself, “why me,†while at the same time feeling sorry for myself. Then I realized the only thing I was doing was wasting the time and life I had left. I may not know how much time I have left. But I will not to spend it in self pity or tears.
Last year someone I know that is associated with the music business stopped by unannounced to say hi. He was unaware of my circumstances at the time. After explaining my condition I asked if he would help me record one song so my family would have something besides cover material to remember me by. I wanted what I left behind to be my song. Without hesitation he agreed and soon thereafter we began working on a song.
Before I knew what happened it was 9 months later and we are now on the verge of releasing an entire CD. There is so much more to this story that time doesn’t allow me to explain. But I am proud of what I’ve done in the past nine months. While at the same time I am sad that this is what it took for me to accomplish what I should have done before.
Whether you love, like, do not care for, or just cannot stand my songs. At least I will know someone listened to what I have to offer and gave me their honest opinion. Either way I will live the rest of my life knowing that I did something I will always be proud of. The CD is titled “It’s ‘R’ Time†and should be released in the next 3-5 weeks. I provided two samples of songs that will be included on the CD.
Thanks for this chance.
