Kaleida

Kaleida is Belfast's newest underground Electronic Music Club Night run by Stephen Garrett, Ryan Cooke, Simon Hamilton and Michael Courtney. The object of the night is to provide belfast with a Spectrum of Electronic Sound showcasing some local talent but mostly focus on International Artists which have not previously played in Northern Ireland. Kaleida's main goal is to find new talent further a field and give them the chance to play on Irish shore's and also give the public a chance to hear these Artists.
Kaleida started in October '07 and has been going from strength to strenght. Previous local guests include Cricky Lyttle, Katrina O'Kane, Matt Burns, Superkonduktor and Miniminds. International guests include Jonas Kopp (Spectral Sound, Argentina), Luke Dzierzek (Fling, England), Michael Knop (Autist, Germany) and Kyle Geiger (Drumcode, USA). Also i has been host to mUmU - a similar night in Liverpool with residents Lee Rands ands HRSN.
The promoters have put a lot of hard work in creating the Kaleida feel, with decor, a loyal following and an atmosphere to rival any big mainstream clubs in Belfast. With a lot of things planned for 2008, Kaleida is definitely one of Belfast smaller Club Nights to watch out for in the future.
