Elaine Murphy

Elaine has been performing and touring all her life as a singer/instrumentalist and has steadily developed her voice in a variety of styles, predominantly folk, country, blues and RnB.As a professional studio singer, she's recorded at Eden and Metropolis Studios, London, with producer Andy Wright (Jeff Beck, Massive Attack), The Cauldron Studios, Dublin, and Amberville Studios, NI, to name a few.Elaine has performed internationally as part of various acclaimed line-ups and has played on the same bill as Lou Reed, Robert Plant, Paul Weller,The Chieftains , and Paul Brady. The venues/festivals she has played at include the Dranouter Folk Festival (Belgium), Rampa Theatre (Warsaw), Connollys Corner (Paris), the Waterfront Hall (Belfast), Triskell Festival (Trieste), The Illinois State Building (Chicago), and The Knitting Factory (New York).She is now working with Irish trad/world act, Erne Rising.Elaine's current solo live 'Americana' set consists of old and new songs: rare gems and some well known material, all peformed in her own inimitable way...
