Born in Belfast and rared in the sweet orchard county of Armagh, Jacky's been singing since she fell out of her goddess mothers womb! Singing backing vocals with Diceman in the early days and lead vocals with the Bushwoolies in more recent years gave her the encouragement and confidence to pick up the guitar, write some songs, cover some others and go it alone although you'll find shes rarely on her own!! With Emmet on acoustic bass you'll find her playing acoustically with the Chicks with Picks (myspace.com/chicks with picks) showcase of female singer/songwriters currently building a reputation north and south of the Emerald Isle. When either one or both of her sisters, Karen and Susie, are home from lands afar youll find them all at Chicks with Picks or alternating both lead and backing vocals with acoustic outfit For the Craic (along with Lucille on fiddle, Emmet on bass and Gary on bodhran), and when you really want to hear her blast it out, check out Paddy Headlock...probably the best rock 'n roll band in the world!!!
