About Me

I LOVE MICHELLE

I'm very outgoing and loud. Love being outdoors. Hate the cold because I'm trapped inside all the time. I can't stand people with no morals or goals in their life. I'm a tree hugger. I am not a hippie. I'm very down to earth. And can be a little too blunt sometimes. I'm a strong believer in honesty. I am definitely a huge animal advocate. I hate BSL, animal testing, puppy mills, the fur trade, leather, animal cruelty of any kind. Adoption is the only way to go. I also am very concerned with where our Earth is headed. I hate the use of plastic bags, too much driving, toxic cleaners, and all the rest of the harmful things to our environment. I love to recycle! I believe in human rights. No slavery, gay marriages, help for aids, cancer, rape, abuse victims, and pro-choice. I believe that everybody should donate. Donations make you feel better and definitely help the person or animal on the other end of it.

On the otherhand, I'm usually a workaholic and in school all the time. I like meeting people who know what they believe in and actually care about life and others around them. I am married to the most beautiful woman alive. I am extremely happy and satisfied. I like to spend most of my time with her and my spunky little dog Sage. She is a handful but I love her anyways. I am a normal person too. Just because I am into helping our environment and saving animals does not mean I don't do the everyday thing too. I love to go to clubs or bars, go to the beach, shopping, walking, hiking, camping, reading, going to the movies, playing raquetball, softball, basketball, and football. I love going to dog parks with my dog. Learning. I want to learn everything about everything. Psychology, astrology, astronomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, countries, languages, people. So basically, yes I am a big dork. But I am HAPPY! And that is all that really matters in this world. If you aren't happy you aren't successful.

My Interests

Obviously I care a lot about gay rights seeing as how I am a lesbian and all. I just don't understand a lot of people I guess. Just because I am a lesbian does not mean that I am going to hit on every girl who walks by me. And just because a guy is gay does not he will hit on every guy who walks by him. People need to stop being so ignorant. Homophobia is a joke. Gay people just want the same rights as everybody else. Why should I not be able to be happy and marry the woman I love? Is it because the bible told you so? Is it because if I am allowed to have children they will be raised to be gay as well? Come on! You have got to be kidding me. Most gay people I know come from normal straight families. Being raised in a gay environment will not turn anyone gay. I just want to know that if my partner is sick in the hospital I can visit her. If we have a house together and something happens to one of us I want to know that it will not get taken by the bank. If I am married and I have children I want to know they will be able to stay with their other mother even though she didn't give birth to them. All I really want is protection. I want safety and security. How can people see that as threatening, disgusting, or wrong? Things like that just blow my mind.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

I believe that any little effort helps. I am an animal rights advocate. I believe in animal liberation, protests, petitions, anything to get the job done. Animals are our equals and deserve to be treated that way. like a wide variety of music. The only kind of music I really could never fully enjoy is jazz. But just to name a few I listen to Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, RHCP, The Beatles, Atreyu, Fall Out Boy, Cannibal Corpse, The Doors, Tupac, The Eagles, The Turtles, Madonna, The Beach Boys, Seduction, Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, The Early November, The White Stripes, Kittie, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Eagle Eye Cherry, Smashing Pumpkins, Eminem, 50 cent, Young Buck, The Temptations, En Vogue, Enya, Alanis Morisette, Jewel

Movies:

I really enjoy movies that make you cry. I need it every once in a while and it makes me feel cleansed. I like gay/lesbian movies, documentaries, and war movies. I use movies as my escape from everyday life. If I don't feel like living or I am angry or sad I watch a movie. Movies are my drugs.

Television:

Animal rights quotes

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are like us'. Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are not like us'. Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." ~Charles R. Magel
"We have the choice to use the gift of our lives to make the world a better place" ~Jane Goodall
"The question is not, 'Can they reason?' nor, 'Can they talk?' but rather, 'Can they suffer?' " ~Jeremy Bentham
"No one in the world needs a mink coat but a mink." ~Murray Banks
"Cruelty is one fashion statement we can all do without." ~Rue McClanahan
"Why should man expect his prayer for mercy to be heard by What is above him when he shows no mercy to what is under him?" ~Pierre Troubetzkoy
"Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight." ~Albert Schweitzer
"Hunting is not a sport. In a sport, both sides should know they're in the game." ~Paul Rodriguez
"If we cut up beasts simply because they cannot prevent us and because we are backing our own side in the struggle for existence, it is only logical to cut up imbeciles, criminals, enemies, or capitalists for the same reasons." ~C.S. Lewis
"I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. They always say because it's such a beautiful animal. There you go. I think my mother is attractive, but I have photographs of her." ~Ellen DeGeneres
"When a man destroys one of the works of man we call him a vandal. When he destroys one of the works of god we call him a sportsman." ~Joseph Wood Krutch
"If you love animals called pets, why do you eat animals called dinner?"
"The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creatures that cannot." ~Mark Twain
"The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men". ~Alice Walker
"Life is life - whether in a cat, or dog or man. There is no difference there between a cat or a man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man's own advantage." ~Sri Aurobindo
"Get a feel for fur: Slam your fingers in a car door. " ~Anonymous, on the use of steel traps to capture fur-bearing animals, cited in Audubon, November 1990
"Heaven is by favor; if it were by merit your dog would go in and you would stay out. Of all the creatures ever made [man] is the most detestable. Of the entire brood, he is the only one... that possesses malice. He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain." ~Mark Twain
"Vivisection is a social evil because if it advances human knowledge, it does so at the expense of human character." ~George Bernard Shaw
"I am not interested to know whether vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't.... The pain which it inflicts upon unconsenting animals is the basis of my enmity toward it, and it is to me sufficient justification of the enmity without looking further. " ~Mark Twain
"The basis of all animal rights should be the Golden Rule: we should treat them as we would wish them to treat us, were any other species in our dominant position." ~Christine Stevens
"I abhor vivisection with my whole soul. All the scientific discoveries stained with innocent blood I count as of no consequence."~Mahatma Gandhi
"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages." ~Thomas A. Edison
"To a man whose mind is free there is something even more intolerable in the sufferings of animals than in the sufferings of man. For with the latter it is at least admitted that suffering is evil and that the man who causes it is a criminal. But thousands of animals are uselessly butchered every day without a shadow of remorse. If any man were to refer to it, he would be thought ridiculous. And that is the unpardonable crime." ~Romain Rolland, Nobel Prize 1915
"Very little of the great cruelty shown by men can really be attributed to cruel instinct. Most of it comes from thoughtlessness or inherited habit. The roots of cruelty, therefore, are not so much strong as widespread. But the time must come when inhumanity protected by custom and thoughtlessness will succumb before humanity championed by thought. Let us work that this time may come." ~Albert Schweitzer
"Because the heart beats under a covering of hair, of fur, feathers, or wings, it is, for that reason, to be of no account?" ~Jean Paul Richter
"Deliberate cruelty to our defenceless and beautiful little cousins is surely one of the meanest and most detestable vices of which a human being can be guilty." ~William Ralph Inge
"There will be no justice as long as man will stand with a knife or with a gun and destroy those who are weaker than he is." ~Isaac Bashevis Singer
"We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace." ~Albert Schweitzer, The Philosophy of Civilization
"If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men." ~St. Francis of Assisi
"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love." Pythagoras, mathematician
"The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men." Leonardo da Vinci, artist and scientist
"Our task must be to free ourselves . . . by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty."
"Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." Albert Einstein, physicist, Nobel Prize 1921
"In their behavior toward creatures, all men are Nazis. Human beings see oppression vividly when they're the victims. Otherwise they victimize blindly and without a thought." Isaac Bashevis Singer, author, Nobel Prize 1978
"To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being." Mahatma Gandhi, statesman and philosopher

"Nothing will benefit health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." -Albert Einstein
