In early 2003, war broke out in Darfur, Sudan. The Janjaweed militias, backed by the Government of Sudan have killed thousands of people. They destroyed their crops and poisoned their water. Now they are preventing life-saving medicine and food from reaching civilians. IT IS GENOCIDE. 130 countries including the United States signed an International Convention commiting them to act and prevent genocide anywhere in the world. The problem is nobody wants to respond. Meanwhile, 400,000 people have died. 1,000 every day. Soon, the number can mount to one million. please spread the word, and make a differencce. Lets put presure on the United States government to declare Genocide in Darfur, and to make the first steps in doing what they promised to do..
