SARO EVENTS: Short-term Foster care and permanent homes needed!
What: Students buy or take in animals during the school year with little planning in place for summer break or graduation. Foster applications are open to everyone. All applications will be reviewed to find safe, reliable temporary homes for our rescued animals. Applications can be filled outonline at : http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pGls_0Ezraftgx5J mVHW-Vg&email=true .email [email protected] with further questions about our foster and adoption program.

Protest Foie Gras!-
The owner of L'adour stated that foie gras makes up less than 1% of his menu sales and if a law was passed he would take it off the menu-let's let them know that they are personally responsible for the cruelty on foie gras farms and that as we saw in the Micheal Vick case, culture is no excuse for animal cruelty! Protest cruelty to circus animals!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the "cruelest show on Earth" is coming to Syracuse, and we need your help to raise awareness about the cruelty and violence that go on behind the scenes at the circus. When Ringling is in your town, it's up to kind people like you to let Ringling know that this cruel show is not welcome! Experts, eyewitnesses, and video footage prove that physical abuse is standard practice for training elephants in circuses.Ringling's trainers have been observed hitting and jabbing elephants, including babies, with sharp steel-tipped rods called "bullhooks." We understand that Ringling causes pain and suffering to animals, but we must share this with others so that they, too, will boycott the circus.
What: Hold signs and distribute literature to circus-goers and passerby about Ringling’s horrible record of animal cruelty and death. Signs and literature provided!
When: Wednesday, October 22, 6pm-7pm
