Breeders Kill

This page is dedicated to those animals who are on death row now, never made it out of a shelter alive, or are currently living on the streets because they have no home. Dogs, cats, and rabbits alike, all need homes. However, there are not enough homes for all these animals. We owe our thanks to breeders when it comes to this problem. Not one kind of breeder is responsible for all of this, yet ALL breeders are alike in terms of creating more of the problem. Anyone who is breeding animals, whether it be a puppymill, a backyard breeder, a breeder with a "good" reputation of just the accidental breeder (someone who didn't take the time to get their animal spayed or neutered), are all alike. They may claim they are not all alike, because some treat animals better than others, but here in the world called reality, breeding animals IS the problem. Not how they are treated, but the fact that they are even being born. No birth is the first step to no kill. There are many myths that surround breeders. Those people who believe them are the ones supporting their deeds and contributing to this over population problem. Breeders of all kinds think that a pure bred dog is a better dog, when in reality, this is false. A mix breed, or a mutt as people like to call it, is genetically superior to anything PURE bred. This is because humans have manipulated dogs to make them into breeds. Originally, dogs were all one breed. So in order to make breeds, breeders have bred dogs over and over in the same family to achieve a different look. This is called inbreeding. This causes many genetic problems and therefore all dogs who are pure breeds have worse immune systems and often suffer from congenital problems. Mutts have a longer life span and are generally healthier. Don't let a breeder tell you that if they don't do their job, the breed might DIE OUT. (GASP, what would we do with out any maltipoos????? The world as we know it, would end). This is false because humans were the first to make animals into breeds and humans can do it again very easily. Don't let breeders con you into thinking that to get the dog you want you need to fork over a ton of money. That is also a lie. If you want a Persian cat, or a German Shepard Dog, then at your local shelter there is probably one there waiting for you. Don't buy from the breeder what you could get at a shelter for half the price and knowing that you saved it from death row. Breeders will always keep telling us these lies to get us to keep supporting them. In reality what they are doing is indirectly murdering thousands of animals and they are unworthy of your money. You're new best friend is waiting for you at your local shelter. Waiting for you to save a life. Don't waste your money on a lying breeder who is causing trouble. Save your money, and save a life, adopt a pet instead!
