About Me

I'm the author of the HELL ON EARTH series (Kensington/Zebra Books). If you like your fantasy on the spicy side, or a healthy dose of paranormal with your romance, you're ready for Jezebel and Daunuan.

About HOTTER THAN HELL (coming in August 2008):

Whose soul do you have to damn to get a promotion around here?

The incubus Daunuan loves his job: seduce a lot of mortals, bring their souls to Hell, party at the best interdimensional pub this side of the Astral Plane. But when the King of Lust makes him an offer he can't refuse, Daun has to give up all the tricks of his trade to properly befriend--and bed--Virginia Reed, a woman who's meant for Heaven.

If he can get her to love him for the incubus he really is, and if he can avoid the rogue demons that are hell-bent on destroying him for reasons unknown, Daun will become the First Principal of Lust, second in line to the King. But Daun learns that love is more than a four-letter word, and that maybe, just maybe, demons really do have feelings after all...

Advance praise for HOTTER THAN HELL:

"Jackie Kessler is firmly on my list of favorite authors. HOTTER THAN HELL is edgy and filled with hot temptation--in the form of an incubus so sexy, daring, and delicious that you'll be offering him your own soul. Fast paced and clever, Kessler's writing shines."

--Cheyenne McCrey, New York Times bestselling author

About THE ROAD TO HELL (in stores now):

There's Nothing Worse Than A Demon With A Grudge

Jesse may no longer be a soul-stealing succubus, but she's got a Hell of a past. She'd love to come clean to her sweet, super-hot boyfriend Paul, but how exactly does a girl start that conversation? There's no name tag that reads: "I Used to Have Sex with Men before Taking Their Souls to the Lake of Fire--Ask Me How!"

Just like some people are worth being monogamous for (shudder), some secrets are worth keeping. Like the fact that bad boy incubus Daunuan keeps popping up from the Underworld to put some toe-curling moves on her; that her former associates are trying to strong-arm her back into the fold; and that every supernatural entity on the planet seems to want to have a conversation with her in the bathroom. But someone in the Underworld isn't ready to play nice (go figure), and this time, the stakes are nothing less than Paul's immortal soul.

If Hell wants Jesse back so badly, they've got her. But payback's a bitch, and this bitch is about to rock Hell like a hurricane--or lose her soul trying...

Praise for THE ROAD TO HELL:

"Fun, sexy and utterly original! Kessler will seduce you."

--Gena Showalter, USA Today bestselling author

"A demonic thrill ride with heart and soul. Kessler is one of a kind!"

--Jaci Burton, author of the Demon Hunters series

"This is writing of blistering splendor: Kessler's acid wit and wry style make for damn fine reading. Trust me, the seven deadly sins have never had it so good!"

--Cornelia Read, author of A Field of Darkness

About HELL'S BELLES (in stores now):

Jezebel’s not your average exotic dancer. For one thing, she’s a four-thousand-year-old succubus. For another, she’s on the run from Hell (which is a bitch to do in high heels). Hiding on the mortal coil as a human doesn’t protect her from muggers, lactose intolerance…or having feelings for Paul, a man haunted by his past. Demons are closing in, which is enough to make Jezebel shiver in her G-string. But it’s her love for Paul that’s going to have deadly consequences. (Humans, she laments, really should come with instruction manuals.)

Praise for HELL'S BELLES:

"HELL'S BELLES had me hooked from the first sentence...I'll be reading this one again and again."

--MaryJanice Davidson, author of the New York Times bestselling Undead series

"As sinful and decadent as melted chocolate on skin. A dazzling debut! The sequel can't get here soon enough."

--Cathy Clamp, co-author of USA Today bestselling Touch of Evil

"A devilishly entertaining read, Hell's Belles had me turning pages so quickly, they singed my fingertips...Wicked good!"

-- Martha O'Connor, author of The Bitch Posse

Anyone who appreciates dark humor with their dark fantasy -- especially fans of Neil Gaiman and Chris Moore. All book lovers, especially if you're into paranormal, whether it's romance, urban fantasy, horror...or that lovely category called unclassifiable. Any comic fans who reads/has read Sandman, Mage, Grendel (Hunter Rose...ooh, shivers), Miracleman, or 1602.

Anything by Neil Gaiman. Anything by Chris Moore. Stephen King's works up until Hearts In Atlantis -- especially The Stand (unabridged) and It. Katie MacAlister's paranormal titles. Laurell K.
