About Me

I live in a fantasy world. Several of them, in fact. For about fifteen years now, I've been wandering around in the Forgotten Realms. These travels have been chronicled in a dozen or so novels. I spent several months in a galaxy far, far away while writing Dark Journey, the tenth book in the New Jedi Order series of Star Wars books. Recently I made a foray into Norrath, the setting of the EverQuest game, to write The Blood Red Harp, a fantasy adventure story filled with elves, necromancers, music and mayhem. A dark fantasy version of Providence, Rhode Island is the setting for my Changeling Detective series: Shadows in the Darkness and Shadows in the Starlight. My short stories range from historical to mysteries, ghost stories to Arthurian fantasy. Yeah, I'm indecisive--it's a character flaw. Here's a SLIDE SHOW of some of my book covers:..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Who would I like to meet on MySpace? Fellow readers, mostly, particularly those who read fantasy, mystery, paranormal, and historical fiction.Who would I like to meet at various and sundry points along the space/time continuum? Lilith, the first wife of Adam (yep, Eve was a trophy wife) who went on to become a demon and succubus. You've gotta admit that's a pretty impressive second career. Taliesin, the famous bard whom Arthurian legend (sometimes) considers the father of Merlin. O'Carolan, the blind harper who created some of the most beautiful melodies in Ireland's history. Elizabeth I. James VI of Scotland. The whole gamut of Renaissance scientists and mystics--Tycho Brahe, Parcelus, John Dee, Cornelius Agrippa. Jumping ahead a few years, there's Oscar Wilde, and a few more, Dorothy Parker. I'd love to meet all these people--but not all at the same time. Mrs. Parker would probably make a smartass remark about Lilith, and that could go wrong in more ways than I care to contemplate.
