'Tis about time this space be readied for me.
Aithne has been very remiss. My time above in the world of Semple Folk occurs
only during certain times of the year. This eve will give time for a short
introduction.
Who is Black Bryan Chilkwell?
In brief, I am an Immortal Changeling, discovered by my Pictish mum in 1044 ad and raised this side of my natural homeland, Annwn.
Little did I know as I grew into manhood where my destiny awaited.
Others knew—most particularly, Pernicious BranBalder, the notorious wicked Raven
Prince. Our clan dwelled behind the magic of the earth and all her energies in a
place called Raven’s Gate.
A place name that spread chills of dread and fear
amongst our enemies. Just because of one man—my best mate, Raven. Ah, the
stories I could tell ye...
The devilish
rogue refused to confide in my future until I returned to my long-lost homeland, Annwn in 1066 ad.
My destiny? To be the sire for a legacy of Guardians. The latest progeny, Meekal
Magdal-eder Chilkwell will soon be coming out to the world. ‘Tis because it
became time to share our story.
Aithne has graciously agreed to tell our history…
While ye await this wonderful literary work, I will share tidbits along the
way. For I have always had a fascination of the written word. Despite my birth
year, learning the truth of my origins opened many windows to knowledge and
magic.
'Tis that which I spoke so passionately about to
my Many-times-great-grand-son, Meekal.
“When he spoke of writing, Galileo said, ‘Let this be the seal of all the
admirable inventions of man.’†Black Bryan stroked the book’s spine and replaced
it on the table.
“Each word ever written and passed down through the ages is an
expression of someone’s thoughts and experiences. Our personal explorations
often lead us in different directions. However, it all comes back to that simple
invention. Be willing to take that journey, Meekal. Then ye will gain
invaluable self-knowledge and the ability to be the Guardian ye are destined to
be.â€
