About Me

Right now I'm busy working on my new book. The first copy has gone out for review and I'm deep into line-editing while I wait. I recently viewed the new cover and it looks great!
Sin and Vengeance has been optioned for a feature film!
The Screenplay is in development now. I'll be consulting - from a distance - and eagerly awaiting the finished product.

Sin and Vengeance is a wild ride! Randy Black is dangerously fascinating. Readers love to hate him and they can't imagine what he'll come up with next. I've discussed this book with many book clubs and enjoyed raves from readers from all over the world.
Read the first chapter, but buckle-up first.

Sin and Vengeance Tour 2005-2006

Taking Stock is set in the financial district of Boston. It follows Erica Fletcher, a young workaholic who hasn't yet realized why she pours all her energy into work. She begins to learn about herself as she discovers a massive fraud within the investment firm she works for. She discovers almost too late that the evidence all points to her.

I enjoy running contests for my readers. I have a (difficult) contest included with every book that offers a prize. I also offer clues to be solved along the way. These are easier, but the only prize is that they lead up to the solution of the larger contests.
For those with a milder interest in contests, I run a giveaway for anyone on my newsletter. Every month I send someone a signed novel. You can sign up by going to www.22wb.com.
I enjoy chatting with readers so send me a message!

Life couldn't fit any better.

What’s that scratching noise?

A funny thing happened this morning. I finished reading my new book and was reflecting on it, thinking about what elements needed editing, when I heard something downstairs. It's a windy day today and...

Jodi Picoult, Plain Truth

Warning guys: This is not the typical thriller I normally review.... I've heard many recommendations supporting Jodi Picoult and her work and recently I read Plain Truth. I was very pleasantly surpris...

Religion of Peace? Robert Spencer

In the last year, I’ve been exploring the concept of forgiveness for my new book. Don’t worry, it’s still a fast-moving thriller!  My reading has led me to various religious wor...

The Joy of Writing Sex, Elizabeth Benedict

As the title implies, this is a book for writers. If you're not a writer, this one's not going to be much fun, but if you are a writer, I couldn't recommend this highly enough. As a man from a small t...

The Apprentice, Tess Gerritsen

The Apprentice is the sequel to Gerritsen's The Surgeon. I hadn't realized this when I started the book and I wished that I'd read the Surgeon first. The book is about two serial killers (one in priso...

Happy New Year everyone! 2008 promises to be a great (and busy) year.  One of my goals this year is to take time out from writing and read more. Since I'm already reading dozens of books, I thoug...

It's been a very good year for book choices so far. I just finished Tim Green, Exact Revenge. Don't expect to hear from me so often, because I'm surely due for a clunker or two. Someone here recommend...
