Life is short,
Break the rules,
Forgive quickly,
Kiss slowly,
Love truly,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And never regret anything that made you smile.
Life may not be the party we hoped for,But while we're here we might as well dance....
People are too uptight! I say, "Live and Let Live!", really, don't take yourself too seriously and enjoy life.
I enjoy the outdoors, challenging myself, learning new things. I kinda have this 'Ellie-May' thing going on where animals and birds let me approach them...uh, a gift I suppose.
I REALLY like music and love to have fun! Make me laugh and we're friends! ..............I'm one of those people who want to know HOW it works and has an insatiable thirst for knowledge... My children are numero uno. I'm so proud of my kids I could just burst! BUT, having said that, no one can break your heart like your child can.....
I'm a clothes horse who finds it difficult to have too many clothes... OK, or jewelry. Perhaps I need a 12 step program...?! :) Fashion rocks!
I'm pretty settled with who I am, though I suppose I have my demons I keep in check. I am honest, intelligent, well-read, down to earth and sharp. I see honesty as a requirement..........
I believe you shouldn't pass up an opportunity to tell someone how you feel, because though it may sound cliche, you really DON'T know if you'll see them again. Life is short. Don't have unfixable regrets. I believe that until you are in any given situation, you will not know how you'll react/respond, despite what you THINK you're sure you'll do. I believe you have to pick your battles and not sweat the small stuff. There will be enough you will have to deal with during life, don't waste precious time with that which is inconsequential.
I like to spend time with people with a good sense of humor......I like to drive early in the morning when no one else is on the road and watch the sun come up......I like the colors red and pink......I like jamming to the music on my iPod.....I like the 'beer slush' that forms when you pour beer into a really chilled glass......I like the familiarity of running into people you know in town......I like being flirted with by people who I wouldn't have thought would......I like Eiswein.....I like spicy food.....I like 'feeling' the music when I turn it up, REALLY loud......I like having a buzz and it making me silly and carefree......I like when I look in the mirror and like what I see......I like wearing great clothes and sexy shoes......I like the feeling of my hair on my shoulders......I like being outdoors in the mountains or desert and feeling at peace.....I like the warmth of sun on my face......I like the NFL.....I like glances across the room......I like when a baby falls asleep in my arms......I like things organized, and neat & tidy.....I like tomatoes, in any form......I like a deep, male voice......I like watching a hawk soar......I like the liquid that comes out of a chocolate covered cherry when you bite it......I like six packs, and not the ones you drink.....I like finding out one of my favorite authors has a new book out.......I like very salty crackers.....I like to watch baby animals frolic......I like my hair stroked......I like excellent wine......I like taking a photograph that speaks to the viewer.....I like being successful........I like the sound of beautifully blended voices in a choir singing Christmas songs......I like the softness of cashmere......I like remembering gentler times......I like hearing a song that has special meaning to me......I like the unconditional love pets give.......I like the moment when I lay down in bed for the night and my face touches the pillow and body is able to rest......I like the crust better than the pie......I like knowing that you don't really know me.
I DON'T like: ...CLOWNS..no, not people who goof off and act silly, I mean REAL clowns- they're ...*creepy*. ...Windchimes. ...Laundromats. ...The sun in my eyes. ...Buying lightbulbs. ...When the Redskins, Eagles, or Giants beat my Cowboys! And while I'm on the subject,..EXPANSION TEAMS! Hey, leave the NFL well enough alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! ...Elevator music. ...People who block the aisle in WalMart. ...Forgetting and leaving my iPod on and having to recharge it...again. ...Redneck comedy. ...Having to wait for LOST! to come back on! ...Lobster. ...The fee for physician 'consultations', I mean really..$411.00 for 10 minutes to tell you everything is fine? The next time they ask if I have any questions..? Hell YES. I'm thinking of EVERYTHING I can ask and keep that SOB there for an hour. Make him EARN his $411.00. ...The stupidity that is now MTV. ...Drinking too much. ...Waiting for internet purchases. ...Missed opportunities. ...Realizing I'll never really ever meet Josh Holloway. ...Insincerity. ...When people forward dire internet warnings/chain letters/etc. to my computer without checking them out on snopes.com first to see if they are legitimate. ...Broccoli. Cauliflower. Squash. ...Any movie with Jim Carrey in it. ...Brainless slapstick comedy. ...Blisters. ...When people drive too slowly. ...Summer TV programming. ...Dark beer. Especially Guinness. ...Futility. ...Martial Arts movies. ...Grocery carts that have a mind of their own and steer erratically. ...Spy novels. ...The Weather Channel. ...Going to a restaurant alone. ...Not finding shoes/clothes I like, in my size. ...Wind. ...Running out of tape before you've finished wrapping the package. ...Mosquitos ...Anything disorganized. ...Being lied to. ...Forgetting to set the alarm clock. ...Never winning the lottery!
Laughter and humor are life's staples! That whole, 'Live, Love, Laugh' thing, ...yeah...........................................

Why Do People Lie and Hurt Each Other?

I'll never understand why people intentionally hurt each other.  Well now, yes, I know people lie to get out of what they perceive to be 'trouble', or to get to do what they want to do while they're s...

9/11 - How Each Of Us Grieves

On this the 7th anniversary of 9/11 it occurred to me that I had a different reaction to this year's televised remembrances of the events of that day. I, in no way attempt to speak for anyone else, or...

I'm Not From A.C.M.E.

Remember that elusive 'ol roadrunner from the Saturday morning cartoons? Flighty, clever, and fast?  Well last week, I went into my 500 sq ft garden, which is an enclosed structure made of poles ...

Slush-slush,slush-slush

Yeah, that's the sound of my heart beating.  And trust me, EVERY wayward animal in need is tuned in.  I think they travel far and wide getting information on the soft- heart grapevine as to ...

It's Always Funnier When It's Happening To Someone Else

Why does it take those first few drops of rain to jog your memory that you left your truck windows open?  So I go outside, no real hurry, just a few drops right?  I think it was just waiting...
