I could bore people to tears with my life story, so I will just leave it as being very interesting.
I currently reside in Albuquerque, NM after a ten year stint in Madeira Beach, FL. All I will say about that is "I want my beach back".
I am a baseball coach by trade, and have coached at all levels of the sport throughout my lifetime, and am currently giving private lessons to stay involved. I retired from organized Baseball in 2004. I still do some part time work for a MLB organization. This has become more of a Front Office job over the years.
I grew up on Long Island, in the town of Garden City, and spent a good portion of my life there even after college. I lived in other areas of LI, Glen Cove, Mill Neck and Port Washington specifically before moving to Pennsylvania. Again, nothing too thrilling here.
Currently I just try and enjoy life, keep in some sort of shape and spend time with my Wife and Dog (Simon) and Cats (Clem and Vincent and now Carrot).
I really enjoyed growing up in New York, especially in the late sixties and early part of the seventies. The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade was one big event each year, as my Dad closed his establishment and opened the third floor along 34th Street for family and friends to watch the Parade. We would have a group of over 150 enjoying the floats and a huge breakfast. Even if it was cold and damp it never ruined the spirit. What a great place to grow up !!! Between the Yankees, Mets, Rangers and Knicks I was always occupied. We had season tickets for all (plus the Jets and Giants), and added the Islanders when they were established, so there was always a sporting event to attend, watch or listen to on the radio. Listening to Marv Albert was often better than being at the game itself. It was a great life in a great place, and a place that everyone needs to experience at least once in their lives. Then there were Summers at the Jersey Shore (Lavallette) which would take much to much time for me to expound upon. Let me leave it as "Magnificent" and let you draw the conclusions.
Now I am looking at snow from my window and wondering "what the hell am I doing in Albuquerque?". When I have an answer I will add it here...but until then, have a great life.
