The Pozers new CD, Embrace Your Addiction:"Kind of a 60's pop feel, backing vocals were phenomenal! The lyrics were original and intelligent. The melody and the flow were excellent! The best CD I reviewed today! Nice music; you sound like a new Beatles."
--George Martin's Garageband.com"Embrace Your Addiction does a laudable job of combining intelligence, humor, street-cred, and sarcasm within music that contains elements of what's gone before, but often strives to do new things with them. This is far from your typical rock trio, and for potential listeners, that's a very good thing."
--Gary Glauber (Fufkin Magazine)"This is your best yet!! You guys are great!! I think that you will do well with this one... very up beat! I loved listening to it!! Will help out wherever I can!!
--Bruce Brodeen (Not Lame Recordings)"All the material on the CD contains their special flavors of intelligent and sarcastic wit. This trio pulls out all the stops with cool chord progressions, unusual but catchy melodies, and inventive song writing...The strongest songs have an almost fuzzy, glammy pop streak running thru them....it darts in and out of focus. Sweet, Queen, Jellyfish, surely others I can't pinpoint, but that's what makes it work. None of the influences stay around too long, which keeps it continually fresh...Extremely Highly Recommended!"
--Not Lame.com"F*@..in Love it!! Really good man. Good hooks, lyricsreally, really good all around. I really like the art work/motif... looks pro & has a totally good power-pop vibe to it. The check on the back with the track listings is a great idea!"
--Johnny Monaco (Enuff Z'Nuff)"I sincerely love the CD. I wish I got to listen to it sooner. After one listen,
consider me a Pozers fan. Excellent production, mixes are great, vocal arrangements great. Congratulations on a great sound."
--Gordon Gebert (Author and musician)"The CD was great! I wish you the ABSOLUTE best with it."
--Cady McClain (Actress/All My Children)"This CD is awesome! It has classic influences but is current as far as the production. I feel The Pozers are worthy of a major label record deal!"
--Joey C. Jones (Sweet Savage and the C.C. Deville band)"Pretty amazing amount of stuff on there. Great job on the backing vox. This stuff is definitely very Abbey Road. It's actaully close to that Smile record that Brian Wilson just released."
--Dave Crow (Cherry Blossom Clinic and Orange Helicopter)

With their brand new CD release, Embrace Your Addiction, The Pozers
serve up 13 brand new delectable "addictions" for your listening pleasure.
This 13 song CD illustrates why The Pozers are considered, by many, to be
one of the most original, creative, and intelligent bands in music today. The Pozers have created a unique, defining sound--challenging the mediocrity
of modern rock radio, while giving the finger to the conventional/cliche
"band" format. Embrace Your Addiction runs the gamut from the lush "Sgt.
Pepper meets Pet Sounds" chorale brilliance, to jazzy-piano and arena rock
radiance. Embrace Your Addiction reads like a musical text book: so read, listen, and learn.
Based out of Dallas Texas, The Pozers are Jim Richey, Kenny Swann, and Jeff
Hamm. Each member sings, writes songs, and plays multiple instruments. Their break came when 6th Floor Records' president, Mark Lee, caught the band's live show, and the next week, signed The Pozers to a recording contract.
Since their formation in 1994, The Pozers have released five CD's and a
video: EMBRACE YOUR ADDICTION (2006), YOU JUST DON'T GET IT DO YOU (2002) COVER THIS (1998), The Pozers--In Search of Kenny Swann--the Movie? (1998--long form video), WE'RE THE POZERS AND SO ARE YOU (1996), and THE POZERS (1994--7 song EP).
The Pozers have appeared in numerous magazines and their music has been
featured on radio stations all over the world. Manager Mark Lee said, "The
Pozers are the greatest songwriters and music creators I have ever known.
They are actually three separate solo artists in one band: similar to
Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison. They are very streetwise, sarcastic,
humorous, and intelligent. And their lyrical depth is unparalleled." Richey has a master's degree in English Literature and is a published author/poet. Swann has a computer programming background, and Hamm spent his college years studying art and music production. With these varied individual backgrounds, it is easy to see why The Pozers have long since been touted as "the thinking man's band" by most critics.
