About Me

Sorry about the false advertising, but hey I'm 42 and each passing year makes me even more thankful that I still have all those "20-coupla-year-old" pics of myself and my old band-mates. ~~~~~ For those many of you who don't know, I fronted two Dallas bands, Chastity and Atomic Angel, in the late 80's and early 90's. "Time of your life, huh kid?". ~~~~~ I discovered KISS in 1977. KISS got me hooked on rock and roll. I have a very wide range of influences. I particularly love all the old '60s, '70s and '80s "bubblegum" and "powerpop" bands. Cheap Trick, Heart (I'll forever be in love with Ann Wilson), The Raspberries, AC/DC (Bon Scott), Bay City Rollers, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, McCartney & Wings, Queen, Elvis, The Eagles, Van Halen (DLR), Elton John, Rick Springfield, The Go-Gos, Dean Martin, Liz Phair's 2003 self-titled CD, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Jude Cole's "A View From 3rd Street" may be the greatest "pop" album of all time! Frank Sinatra, The Bangles, The Monkees, Eric Carmen. ~~~~~ I lived the '80s hair-band bit and my favorites from that era are: Lillian Axe, Ron Taylor has the best voice in rock 'n roll. Go check out his new band, Lowside! Shock Tu, Sweet Savage, Joey C. Jones, Stiff, Anything written by Mikel Scott of Kid Cyote and Auralast, Enuff Z'nuff are pure genius!!, Warrant, Bon Jovi, Pretty Boy Floyd, L.A.Guns, Roxx Gang, Faster Pussycat, Steve Vai, Queensryche, I also loved C.C. DeVille's Samantha 7 CD! ~~~~~ Since the early '90s I've received a degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma. I've been fortunate enough to continue to record music at home as a hobby. It's a wonderful stress reliever, until the mixdown. Where are Rick Rooney, Joey C. Jones, and Ricky Lynn when I need them? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
