This band started as an idea Linda Bishop and her husband Danny had been bouncing around in their heads for a long time. The basic premise was - why not start a band where every song is a song we absolutely love - we do exactly the music we love to hear? The original name was going to be Bishop's Groove - something we came up with off the top of our heads...
We didn't know if it would work or if anyone would come along for the ride but one night - on our way home from a Heart concert when we stopped at a club and saw a guitarist on stage singing and playing his butt off we knew we needed to meet him.
His name was Dave Hineman and some months later we called him to see if he would be interested and of course he was! We already knew who we wanted to play bass - one of our favorite people in the world who we knew from Le Freak - Jaimie Scott. Dave brought along Scott into the mix and the first rehersal was held - of all places - Danny's living room in Frisco. We were trying to find a new band name - we had a keyboard set up in the living room and for some reason I started playing the intro to Dream On by Aerosmith - we all looked at each other and thought - that's it...the words to the song perfectly capture our philosophy and since this was our dream band Dream On just fit for us...
Our first gig was at Memphis and the rest is history. We want to thank everyone for supporting us - we will keep playing the music we and you love as long as we can!
