About Me

We're currently working on a new EP titled Disagreements. It's taking a little longer than expected to finish because we've decided to start over on a lot of the recordings. They weren't sounding the way we wanted, so it's been erase and recreate. Hopefully we'll have at least one new song ready for its debut within a week, we'll see. In the mean time please enjoy the first of the new batch: FAT KIDS BIG CARS
************************************************************ *******************************
Our song Blue Kitchen off our debut album is now the theme to the television series About a Girl; we're rather proud of that!
CONTACT
Embrace (Acoustic)
Combine the Victorious is an indie pop group fronted by Isabelle Dunlop and Mark Henning. The band was born in the spring of 2005 when Isabelle challenged Mark to create music of their own. Music that would fill a void in their record collections: something to dance to, sing along to, basically the kind of record you'd put on at a party and leave on until it ended, then maybe start it over again.
We hope you enjoy it.

THE WORLD OVER - available now
artwork and design by Robert Edmonds
Our debut album, "The World Over" was written and recorded over a span of just more than a year and a half. We began in the summer of 2005, more as an experiment to see if we could write together. The first song we created, Blue Kitchen has gone on to be a theme song for a television series (About a Girl) as well as being licensed on another show (Whistler) and considered for a Toyota ad campaign. Not bad for the first try. The songs on The World Over represent everything we desired out of music during those many months: fun, emotion, dancing, singing, big drums, moody pianos, lots of tambourines, loud guitars and ethereal sounds all mixed together. Personal favorites include King’s Cross, The Hours, and Embrace, but we’ve had positive responses to all the tracks: thanks everyone. If you’d like to buy a copy we still have some with the original packaging and we’d be delighted to send you one. Click HERE to go to our homepage. Or, if you prefer, it is available online at the music store as well as several other streaming sites and online stores. We both hope you enjoy it.
We are now in the finishing stretch with our follow up ep: Disagreements. The songs have taken a turn towards slightly darker tones and more club friendly sounds. Songs such as Fat Kids Big Cars represent the direction we’re taking for these five songs. Smaller production, tighter and more concise parts, and a certain disgruntled vibe to the lyrics. We hope to have it available for the summer of 2008, please check back for more updates as we complete the songs and artwork.
"DECAY"
You say that you would never hurt me
and yet you'd never lend me a hand
'cause there's no way to wake you up
And now you're sayin' how could you desert me
But you can't stand it when I'm around
'cause there's no way to wake you up
The words you'd say, they held no meaning
if I was looking you straight in the eyes
'cause there's no way, to wake you up
But still, through it all
As I watch you fall
I have to hold myself back
From trying to help you
I'm trying to help you
One day, not so far away,
We'll be, living freely.
And you'll say, how did we decay
So far to never speaking
Renaissance
