I picked up my first guitar at age14 when I heard Jimmy Page play for the first time. A friend played me a live bootleg of “Whole Lotta Love’. Holy shiznit! Did that ever rock my world. Since then I have only wanted to create music and play the guitar. I started playing in bands with my best friends during my high school years. The only thing we cared to do was to rock and rehearse for hours upon hours. In my college and university years I continued to kick out the jams with lots of cool artists and bands while getting to share stages with some very cool acts: Coldplay, The Dandy Warhols, Athlete, Cowboy Junkies, Stereophonics. At the same time I was getting my musical world turned on its head by exposing myself to and studying jazz (Coltrane, Miles) , electronic music (Brian Eno, John Oswald), 20th century classical and avant-garde (Arvo Part, John Zorn). Post music composition degree from Simon Fraser University, I have been lucky enough to continue to compose music, perform and record guitar for a living and have the opportunity to work with many talented and wonderful artists and producers like Motion Soundtrack, Holly McNarland, Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child), Adrienne Pierce, John Wozniak, J.D. Fortune( INXS), Boy, Lily Frost, Whitfield, Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter, Holly McNarland), Thom Russo (Johnny Cash, Janet Jackson), Mike Fraser (Jimmy Page, AC/DC) John Wozniak (Marcy Playground), Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams, Ozzy Osbourne), Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails), Mathew Yelton (Frank Black, The Pixies).
