Marc Wild writes songs that combine a respect for the history of songwriting and an excitement for modern movements in music. He has a vast array of influences; citing artists as diverse as Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Arvo Part and Brian Eno they all equally captivate him. His music draws on life experience and his rich imagination to write songs that have a romanticisim not often found in todays manufactured musical landscape. Marc has an exceptional gift of instantly tapping into those raw emotions found deep within and pull them forth to create his uniquely crafted songs. Whenever the creative surge strikes, usually in the twighlight hour, he turns on his lap top and records his ideas. One of his songs, “Circusâ€, was created in the middle of the night from a dream. “I awoke with this song playing over and over in my head. A tale of love and deception, it was so vivid. I sat down to record it and it all came out in just a few hours. It was magical.†The opening cut on his EP, “Strange World†combines his exquisite guitar playing with a haunting vocal performance that sounds somewhere between Beck, Nick Drake, and Ennio Morricone. He plays a nylon string guitar that mesmerizes the listener into a trance, coaxes them gently with his evocative vocal delivery and leaves them mystified with a beautiful string arrangement near the songs climax.Currently Marc is continuing to write and record songs for his debut CD. The small selection of songs found on his Ep are just a taste of what this talented artist is capable of. Become a friend and keep posted.
