This Muse Rocks Hard - I am the Real Deal

About Me

------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------
For those who have asked about adding me to their top friends,
my registered email address is
[email protected]
------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------
Provider of pep-talks, booster of self-esteem, enabler of self-confidence, shoulder to cry on, cheerleader.
I am supportive of ALL artists, art forms, and genres of creativity. Imagination and individuality are healthy, integral components of being 'human'.
For many years, I have been referred to as a 'personal muse' by a very dear (musician) friend of mine. Although he still uses that pet name for me, I think it's time to share the wealth. This well is in no danger of running dry.

My Background, Experience, And Knowledge Base :
I'm sure to leave out a lot, but this is a quick basic idea for those who have been asking.
This includes what makes me 'me' ..but not previous 'job' details. I don't want to feel like I'm presenting a resume (and I'm sure nobody wants to read one!)
To answer some of the most frequent specific questions :
Yes, my hair really is 'that' long
My eyes are light blue
Yes, I have body modifications (no surgery!) ...Piercings & Ink.
(And no, you probably won't get to see them)
I'm 5'10"
No, I wasn't really born in 1937
Yes, I truly am a Capricorn (Dec 25)
I keep my nails long and manicured. It feels sexy and is the best accessory going.
I'm a cat person AND a dog person. I have a one-year-old deaf Australian Shepherd (deaf from birth, I rescued him from a kill-shelter fate) who has learned ASL (Sign Language). Yes, I give the signs, HE obeys.
I am of Mohawk and Dutch descent.
I have lived in NE Ohio, SW Ohio, New York, North Carolina, Ontario (Canada), and SW Florida. No, I am not in the witness-protection program, as some like to joke.
The picture of 'Cousin It' IS Cousin It. (Just a comparison photo)

I am an avid keyboardist and pianist.
I read both sheets and tabs, and I write, as well.
I have comprehensive knowledge of recording industry.
I love my art supplies - watercolors, charcoals, pastels, oils, graphite. Lifelong passion.
At one point in time, I spent a lot of time with a guitar....
I passed some time as a ... what do they call it? ...oh, yeah : band manager
I've also interviewed bands (not for magazines, but for promoters, venues, unions, etc., on the hiring, booking, contractual end - I guess more like a 'talent scout'/'booking agent' if I was forced to come up with a term people might recognize), hired bands, promoted bands, written the paychecks to bands, photographed bands, and my vocals were used as fill on one or two tracks that made a bit of radio play.
I love to write.
I absolutely love my camera. My passion for photography has never lessened. I prefer my SLR's to my digitals.
I have spent many many many hours photographing musicians (at their request and with their knowledge), both onstage and off.
I have spent many combined years formally studying and (in some cases working in) the fields of :
voice, stage make-up, etiquette & deportment, synchronized swim, eventing (equestrian - hunter/jumper), ballet, runway, photography, music history & theory.
I have instructed a few individuals in selected fields mentioned above.
I am a debutante. (no .. not the 'dirty' type from the movies). Yes, there are still such things as debutantes, charity balls, and cotillions. I was presented when I was 18 years old.
I have traveled extensively, love seeing new places, and always look forward to meeting new people. Every place has a very unique personality, and history. I have a deep appreciation of all of it.
I am patient, open-minded, and non-judgmental. I am sensitive, understand my emotions, and always strive to respect the needs and feelings of others.
Yes - everyone has their bad days. But I try to not let my rough day ruin yours.
I am very much a free spirit. Don't try to nail me down.
But I can be very demanding at times, and you can expect it of me.
I can stomp my foot like a spoiled little girl, and I can curse better than a lot of men. I grew up as a 'child of privilege', hence the 'spoiled', and I also grew up around musicians, hence the 'potty mouth'. And I have an undeniable talent for blending the two together at the same time.
I will keep you on your toes, as there is no second-guessing me.

Music:

Music fills my life - every minute of every day. All music. The honesty and integrity behind the music is what holds it up above the rest - not the 'genre' of the music. But I must admit, I seem to be more 'inspiring' to rockers.....

To show how musically open my friends are, following is the current list of genres in which my friends have placed their profiles :

Movies:

Beautiful visual representations of what is creative and individualized within the writers, directors, wardrobe artists, hairstylists, acting coaches, make-up artists, all of the technicians, set designers, the camera specialists, and the actors. No matter the genre of the film - it is all graphically stunning creativity and artistry.
'What Dreams May Come' is one that I consider to be a favorite. 'The Fifth Element' is another. Can't forget 'Gone With The Wind'.

Television:

I do not spend time involved with viewing. But the creativity and inspiration behind the images that can be seen on the small screen are phenomenal forces. If I had to come up with a few names, it would most likely be 'Six Feet Under' (all reruns, unfortunately) 'Dexter' (not the cartoon) or 'Heroes'

Books:

Food for my soul, are books and is reading. Intellect and education are paramount in this world. It doesn't need to be Quantum Physics to qualify as reading - piano theory books, sheet music, classic literature, poetry, history, religious or spiritual guides, .. just pick something up and feed yourself some knowledge.

Heroes:

Souls who have no fear of their creativity, and allow freedom within themselves, with no worry or obsession as to what 'everyone else' is doing in the world of creativity.
