BIOGRAPHY
"Until we see the sky, break the tide, find our light, and forge strength in self, we are lost in a mental wasteland, a false hope. Days blur to months, years...the Dead Season is life." - Ian Truman
Given all of DEAD SEASON's achievements and success since being established in 2003, it's hard to believe the band remains one of the best kept secrets in the music industry. Hailing from the small town of Oxford, Maine, DEAD SEASON has developed into the number 1 selling and drawing band in Maine and the hottest band in the northeast. Founded by the two Truman brothers, Ian (vocals) and Matt (guitar), the band has become a complete powerhouse with the addition of Andy Hackett (drums) and Steve Church (Bass). Album sales have surpassed the 10,000 mark which is amazing considering the bulk of the sales have been in the band's rural home state of Maine. The band's debut full length record titled "Rise" is still the number 1 selling independently released album in Maine since being released August 2006. DEAD SEASON has an intense stage presence and must be seen first hand to really get the complete picture of what this hard working band has to offer.
"Never Decide" is the current single on 105.1 WTOS and 94.3 WCYY and will be featured on the new album to be released May 20th. Track 3 on the "Rise" album titled "The Mirror" spent most of 2007 in major rotation on 105.1 WTOS and "The Thunder Rolls" (Garth Brooks cover) was one of the most requested songs on the station in 2006.
DEAD SEASON won the 105.1 WTOS Battle of the Bands 3 years in a row (2004, 2005, 2006) and is one of the most requested bands on the station. WTOS website: www.tosrocks.com
DEAD SEASON has shared the stage with the following national bands: Buckcherry, Nonpoint, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed, Black Stone Cherry, Powerman 5000, Quiet Riot, Mushroomhead, HED pe, God Forbid, Bleeding Through, Skindred.
DEAD SEASON adds a two week U. S. east coast tour to their long list of accomplishments in 2007 making stops in Philadelphia (PA), Virginia Beach (VA), Jacksonville (FL), Tampa (FL), Miami (FL), Englewood (FL), Spartanburg (FL), and more.
The new album will be out May 20, 2008!
