Meander Radio is consolidating with its sister station, Solace Radio. We hope you will click the Solace Radio greeting, below, and give us a listen. Solace Radio is always looking for new instrumental and Messianic music. Let us know if you'd like us to consider your music or clean family (professional) comedy for airplay.
Act Now!
The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and have already gone into effect(retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!). Internet radio needs your help! H.R. 2060, The Internet Radio Equality Act was introduced by Representatives Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Donald Manzullo (R-IL) to save the Internet radio industry. Please call your congressperson and senators to ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 2060 by clicking this link: http://www3.capwiz.com/saveinternetradio/callalert/index.tt? alertid=9679516&type=TA
VISIT www.Live365.com/choice for more information. HR2060 is stalled in Congress, and its sister bill is stalled in the Senate. A new deal struck by SoundExchange with some broadcasters will expire in 2010. Then it's back to the drawing board. Please go to that link and help us.______________________________
We are currently fighting for the survival of Internet radio, so if you can help us get the word out, that would be awesome. I've spent about 40 years in radio, give or take, and it has led me on a wild journey that I wouldn't trade for anything.
Please visit the RAIN (RADIO AND INTERNET NEWSLETTER) SITE) for information on what you can do now. THIS IS URGENT, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP OR WE AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER STATIONS COULD GO SILENT.

ABOUT THE OWNER OF THIS STATION
Born in Seminole, Texas, I began my radio career in a small town in Northwest New Mexico, and from there went to Lamesa, TX, back to Seminole (it looks a lot smaller when you're grown up), to Hobbs, NM where I co-hosted a morning show (driving 90 miles a day round-trip), then on to television where I worked for a TV station in Alamogordo, NM, was a video correspondent for the ABC affiliate, KOAT, in Albuquerque, and also for the CBS affiliate in Roswell, NM, KBIM. At the same time I built my own video production suite and produced television commercials for the local station. Then I decided to go into newspaper, and moved to Colorado where I became Editor of a small town paper, and then went back into radio at the local terrestrial station doing marketing. I wanted a station of my own, though, and opened Meander Radio in the winter of 2005, and then another Internet radio station, Solace Radio in November 2006.
