There aren't always happy endings...
A very sad note- singer/songwriter Eddie Lee died before his new CD was released. Robin was having lunch with her brother and mother when she ran into Don Richmond, who produced both Robin's CD, Green Winter and Eddie's CD. Don pulled her aside and told her that Eddie had committed suicide, hugged her, and told her she could come pick up a copy of the CD on which she had sung back-up vocals for Eddie.
"It's really sad," said James, head lowered, listening to the songs he had crafted, "he was such a good writer." She sat listening to each track with her mom, trying to comprehend how something like this could happen.
We thought you should have a chance to hear some of his wonderful music. Here's a song from that CD, with Robin in the background.

ROBIN'S CD RELEASE CONCERT: ADAMS STATE COLLEGE
People packed the front table area to meet Robin and buy her CD after the concert at Adams State College's Carson Auditorium. One woman bought five CD's that night. True to her reputation, Robin gave a powerful performance- three hours worth of original music and cover songs by Jewel, Dido, Joan Osborne, and many others. What her audience didn't know, during that 3-hour concert, was Robin had strep throat and a fever of 102 degrees.
FANS GET THEIR MONEY'S WORTH
Robin pours herself into the music, delivering what concert-goers have come to expect from the five-foot-two-inch little powerhouse. Robin smiles when people wonder how a voice like that can come from such a small person. She's been singing like that since she was a little girl. She was vamping at two years old. Peers comment about her 'voice control'. Fans wonder at the star-quality of this 'hometown girl.' Her lyrics come from the heart, and her music belies the conventions of a commercial world, as she crosses over from alternative to country to classical to blues.THE SONG PAINTER
She listens to all types of music, and she can deliver the nuances of a song like the brush strokes of a great artist. Her early influences included Whitney Houston, and at twelve she could make you cry when she sang I Will Always Love You. Influenced by music since birth (her dad plays guitar, and her mother is a songwriter/singer/musician), it's always been a driving force and very much a part of her life. Robin writes as well as performs her music.ROBIN SINGS WITH THE DANCE HALL DOCTORS
During a trip to Nashville to record fellow songwriter Peter Boag's CD, Robin sang with Tim McGraw's band, The Dance Hall Doctors in the recording studio. Boag chose her after hearing her on a radio station in Taos, NM, and since his songs required a huge vocal range. The producer told her anytime she was in Nashville, to come by, and he'd put her to work.
No matter where Robin James goes, in life, the stage will always be her home.
