Lord of Misrule at The Unbroken Circle site,
co-founder of Woven Wheat Whispers folk music service,
promoter of traditional creative arts,
folklore and customs researcher,
writer about folk music,

In a complex society facing future challenges, I believe we can learn by reconnecting with our landscape, community and traditional culture, embracing the modern and creating new approaches for future society.

The traditional creative arts from music , painting , literature , folk customs , corn art , landscape , history , story telling , seasonal plays , Straw Bear Men, May festivals , wassailing , fertility rites , mumming , iconography , plough plays , guising , hoodening , bonfires and other communal celebrations, bring us together and connect us with our communities and land in ways we do not fully understand.

Read about Traditional Folk Arts

We seek to build the folk arts community through collaboration. We work with folk festivals, artists, writers, photographers and performers to promote their activities. For example we wrote a version of the 'Crying The Neck' field rite for the Moseley Folk Festival. If we can help with your endeavours or give a route to promote it, please do get in touch.

To discuss folk music and traditons feel free to visit our Harvest Home

Please note, we are against any link between right-wing politics or nationalism with folk music or culture.
