I live with my wife Annie and two children; my boy Caradoc is four, and little Gwennie is just one. Caradoc likes jousting and horses, while Gwennie is very fond of dogs.
I have a great interest in our past, especially in the culture of pre-Christian Northern Europe and the medieval Scottish clans. But I also take an interest in the history and culture of all the world's peoples.
Free time I mainly spend with my family. Work time is divided bewteen writing, research and performance. Working from home as I do, I am lucky enough to be able to switch from one to another as I want.

My latest book about pre-Christian religion in the Germanic and Scandinavian world was released in July 2008. In this book, I look at the religion as practised, rather than going straight to the myths. It's a chance to set down some ideas I have developed over many years.
