Young Believers

times have ALWAYS been a-changin so dont be afraid

About Me

We Are Young Believers, we're a Folk/Beat/Rock 'n' Roll combo from York. We're just a bunch of recidivists, moving our fingers and mouths... to form the songs which seem to formulate themselves inside our heads.
SOME USEFUL FACTS:
We spend an absurd amount of money on unnecessary food from petrol station shops.
And 99% of our conversations are nonsensical.
We have a rather relaxed approach to timekeeping!
We like fingerpicked guitars and songs with lots of words.
Our drummer has a habit of leaving bits of his drumkit wherever we play!
And we're looking forward to summer!
Because:
a) It will be warm and we like warmth!
b) We're hitting the road, hopefully coming to a town near you :)
We're currently arrangin' a bit of a tour between 13th -28th June and are hoping to play all over the place! If you can help us out by offering us any gigs it would be wonderful!:)
Or if you'd like us to play near you let us know and we'll see what we can arrange.

The fact that: “In 1989 an American political scientist invented a theory about the end of history, because modern science and new means of communication allowed people to live in prosperity, and universal prosperity was the guarantee of democracy and not the contrary as philosophers and Humanists had once believed. And citizens were actually consumers and consumers were also citizens and all forms of society evolved toward liberal democracy and liberal democracy would in turn lead to the demise of all authoritarian forms of government and to political and economic freedom and equality and a new age in human history, but it would no longer be historical. But lots of people did not know this theory and continued to make history as if nothing had happened.”
