About Me

A seedling of folk-rock, indie-pop with jazz roots.
"Meghan Tartamella’s warm smoky voice reveals an artist with a hard-fought range of emotions about love, identity, and a plea for the health of the planet matched with the musical palette to express them all. Dark lyrics paired with beautiful melodies, her songs overflow with emotion that represent something more then herself. These songs are an infectious truthful autobiography."
“My neighbor brought his friend over to see the studio. We ended up listening to half of Meghan’s record Open Universe. He was blown away by her lyrics and her voice and demanded a copy from me! Joe Blow off the street wants her record and that is really the ONLY kind of criticism that counts.” -Rich Mason Owner of Sounds Rich Productions
“Beautiful voice, cool melodies.” -Noel Madar, Digstation Album reviewer
“Great array of talent. Covers multiple styles with ease. Wonderful story to each selection. You won’t be able to get these melodies out of your head.” -Bill Rudinsky, Digstation Album reviewer

21 years old, Meghan will graduate magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology in May 2008.
Meghan Tartamella’s debut album, “Open Universe”, written, composed and co-produced by Meghan Tartamella will be released April 2008.
