Empty Space is a radio show broadcast every Tuesday morning, 10am to midday (UK time), on Sheffield Live 93.2FM, hosted by Dan Sumption .
You can listen to us anywhere in the world via sheffieldlive.org , and you can view playlists and hear all our previous shows via fadwebsite.com .
Every week we try to have at least one studio guest, somebody related to the arts or experimental music in Sheffield, who will chat for a bit and play a few of their favourite tracks.
We also play an eclectic and eccentric selection of music - jazz, folk, punk, pop, electronic, classical, rock, hip-hop, free-improv, avant-garde to avant-garde-a-clue - any and every genre but generally genre-busting, boundary-pushing music.
From time-to-time we ask artists to make works specifically for the medium of radio, which we then broadcast. Any proposals for radio artworks will be gratefully received.
Each show includes a round-up of art events happening in and around Sheffield (this usually broadcasts about halfway through the show, just after 11am), plus a short report from London correspondent Sue Schofield on cultural goings-on in the nation's capital.
If you want to send CDs/vinyl or other material for us to consider playing on the show, please post them to the following address:
