(Everyday People Initiating Change) began as a non-profit organization, but has now become what we believe to be one of the most important movements of our time. While we accept donations for our Africa Project and relief efforts worldwide, the purpose of E.P.I.C. is to make people aware of how easy it is to contribute positively to our world. The birth of E.P.I.C. was a result of two individuals who shared the same vision; feeling a strong calling to initiate change in the way that people live their lives today. It all begins with the commitment to living a conscious life, and the acceptance of the responsibility to spread this state of consciousness to everyone that we possibly can.To initiate change could be as small as not allowing the water to run unnecessarily while brushing your teeth, or having a conversation about the issues broadcasted on the daily news. To initiate change could also be to volunteer within your community, or to step outside of your comfort zone and find somewhere to volunteer abroad. To initiate change isn’t only about donating money, it’s about feeling compelled to invest in the future of the human condition. The donations received by E.P.I.C. in 2006 and 2007, will all go towards bettering the lives of the children who are born into a world of suffering and deprivation within some of Africa's most impoverished nations, such as Tanzania. We intend to help alleviate this suffering by providing children with an easier access to education and the most basic need of all, clean water. By installing these two ideas into destitute villages, we can help stop the cycle of disease and death from water born illnesses and poor sanitation, as well as educate the future generations, therefore contributing to a stronger work force which will, in turn better the community and the economy as a whole. By focusing our efforts on the children of Africa, we hope to eventually contribute to putting an end to the immense imbalance that exists between the First the Third Worlds. We hope to be able to show you how easy it is to make a difference, no matter how insignificant you may feel in the big scheme of things. Nothing you do is too small. Even by viewing this profile you are making a difference, because if you add us as a "friend", you are making the information available to everyone else who views your profile. E.P.I.C. was started by two individuals who had no prior experience in anything of this nature. All they want is to help in whatever way they can, and you can do the same. It is THAT simple. Now is the time to spread the word, because we have already started raising money for the cause, so the more people you tell, the better. We appreciate your support more than you can imagine. Thank you for What You Did Today. Here's your opportunity to save someone's life TODAY!! Please visit www.epicthemovement.org for more information, and to make a donation, or, you could write to us at [email protected]. For donations of $20 or more, we will send you a custom DOG TAG that reads "What Did You Do Today?", so that you can represent and spread the word!
