About Me

"The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they make the best out of everything they have." ____________________________________________________________ Free as a bird.....I am an introspective, creative, energetic and caring- I never seem to get my fill of the amazing things life has to offer....I most recently came to realize how important it is to keep inspiring/proactive/artistic people around me; people that are moving in the same direction- UP. I'm also very aware that I'm very blessed with the amazing people I have in my life...my friends and family mean the world to me..and I love the fact that they each are so different, but so individually beautiful. I am completely insatiable....I am addicted to traveling and discovering the hidden jewels of the world: to experience different cultures, and meeting people of every race. I am an adventure seeker- anything I've ever wanted to do...I do. I steer clear of conventionalism.**I recently returned from a month long stay in Africa; my perception on "things" is so clear at this point....we really "need" nothing..I lived with "nothing" (of material value) not even steady running/clean water, electricity or toilets...but yet I had EVERYTHING...I had a wonderful family to stay with, I had amazing kids to work with at the school- many who didn't speak GREAT English but a smile translates in any language. I realize now, more than ever, that we are each RESPONSIBLE to help the human race and human spirit. It was not by chance that we were born into this world with the access to what we have as westerners....so it's high time we recognize our blessings and start to give back to those who are born into a world of poverty and know nothing else. Ask yourself a simple question, today and everyday you are blessed with waking up- "What did you do today?" ...and make sure you can answer that with something EPIC.I'm currently working on the most important project of my life....check out the "E.P.I.C." profile in my top 8... what did YOU today...anything prolific??

My Interests

Art- in all of it's amazing forms: song, words, body, mind, SOUL. Adventure: travel, people, experiences, thrills, things that would scare the hell out of 98% of the population. People who aspire for more: people who realize their potential and feel as if they HAVE to accomplish what they are meant for, people who recognize that there is always MORE, people who question "proof." Digging into "me"; self discovery is one of the scariest things you can do...but perhaps the most fulfilling. ...to sum it all up----knowing all of the gifts that life has to offer-and how divinity will guide you in your journey only if your eyes are open to the REAL that exists in the world- and letting go and LIVING in the flow of it

people who live life for something that surpasses it....and people who ARE the change they seek...not the people who just talk about it-----

Music:

wow.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many to list...I'm a music junkie to say the least....check out my DJ page under my top 8 for a good selection of what I dig

Movies:

inconvenient truth, children of men, what the bleep do we know, baraka ---this one is crazy inspiring...you walk away with such perspective, Perscription for survival, blood diamond

Television:

no time for tv...but on Jet Blue I love to rock National Geographic or Discovery channel....anyone seen Man vs. wild? dream job- "woman vs. wild"...word... always something great to learn...NERD! oh yeah and I have every Family Guy episode there is on DVD....and Lost and Six feet can get an hour of my time :)

Books:

The Prophet, The Voice of Knowledge, The Four Agreements, The Mastery of Love, What the Buddha Taught, The History of God, The Prince, The Inner Life (this book has completely transformed my life), Blue Like Jazz, Peace is every step, Miracle of Mindfulness, teachings of buddha, searching for God knows what, the artists way, 48 Laws of Power, Seat of the Soul, Unlimited Power, Signs and Sign Posts, Eleven Minutes, The Celestine Prophecy, The Alchemist, The Power of Now....too many more to list....basically anything that's inspiring to the soul and enlightening enough to stretch my boundaries

Heroes:

anyone doing something without needing recognition---those are the people that do it for the love of it...whether it be charity, music, art, writing, etc
