Mural & proceeds donated to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital

We live in a world ravaged by conflict, crippled by poverty, and burdened with disease.
We believe today's society is largely characterized by ignorance regarding the direst of humanitarian crises.
We know that many are willing to help but lack the resources to do so.
ACTVST attempts to bridge the gap between desire to aid and decision to act... but we cannot do it without you.
The ACTVST Artvarks are a network of like-minded artists who work to inspire, inform and empower. They invite you to take action on humanitarian causes through art, film, music and literature.
In addition, this collective raises money for ACTV Network partners through specialty merchandise, merchandise co-ops and shows.

Make Trade Fair

Fair trade is a growing international movement which ensures that producers in poor countries get a fair deal. This means a fair price for their goods (one that covers the cost of production and guarantees a living income), long-term contracts which provide real security, and support to grow their businesses. In the five years since its launch, over 10 million people have added their voice to the Big Noise petition to make trade fair.

Our Mission
We live in a world ravaged by conflict, crippled by poverty, and burdened with disease. We believe today's society is largely characterized by ignorance regarding the direst of humanitarian crises. We know that many are willing to help but lack the resources to do so. ACTVST attempts to bridge the gap between desire to aid and decision to act... but we cannot do it without you.

Who We Are
ACTVST :

is the expression of our generation's refusal to accept the norms of this planet are set in stone.
seeks to equip 'direct assistance' humanitarian organizations with the funds and human resources necessary to be effective.
seeks to mobilize a generation to the service of the greater causes of humanity worldwide.
aims to manifest compassion into creative acts of service that are consequential globally and redefine where, when, and how change can be accomplished.
ACTVST is the belief that action is greater than apathy.

ACTVST Direct Aid
E.P.I.C - Everyday People Initiating Change :
Raising money is not where the ACTVST vision ends. E.P.I.C. is the hands and feet branch of ACTVST which provides the link from raising awareness to creating tangible change. On a project-by-project basis, E.P.I.C. raises money and cultivates energy around the humanitarian relief it executes world wide. The heart of E.P.I.C. is the belief that everyone can make a difference, and as a result, E.P.I.C. promotes easy access to the ways in which everyone can contribute positively to our world in a hands-on way. E.P.I.C. recognizes the importance of every dollar raised, and therefore intends to continue to ensure that 100% of all donations received go directly to benefiting those who are most in need.
All donations received by E.P.I.C. in 2006 and 2007, will go towards bettering the lives of children born into a world of deprivation and suffering in Tanzania, one of Africa's most impoverished nations. E.P.I.C. intends to alleviate suffering by providing children with easier access to education, and the most basic need of all, clean water. By installing clean water systems, they will help stop the cycle of disease and death from water- borne illnesses and poor sanitation. In addition to addressing the problems of now, they are investing further by equipping future workforces with education. Beginning in Africa, E.P.I.C. hopes to help put an end to the immense imbalance that exists between the developing and the industrialized world.
In the future, E.P.I.C. will look onward and upward to ensure that each new project contributes to making ACTVST goals a reality. Working side by side with those at the center of struggle, E.P.I.C. believes the best gift they can impart is not provision...it is hope. Hope in the pulse of just one village can revitalize entire regions, diminish fear, extinguish poverty, and restore broken hearts. Every day E.P.I.C. works to bring hope to the hopeless and remind people that who they are is not far from who they need to be to initiate change.
