20-year-old Natasha was born in Edinburgh and, having completed her studies at George Watson's College, and her vocal tuition with Dorcas Owen, moved to Paris to study singing with Renee Haas. She then won a scholarship to attend the Royal College of Music in London, where she now studies with Kathleen Livingstone.Natasha has a wealth of vocal experience both chorally and as a soloist. Her recent solo performances have included Mozart's Exultate Jubilate and Mahler's Symphony No. 4 with Scottish Sinfonia (Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh); Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass with the Dundee Choral Union and Scottish Opera Orchestra (Caird Hall, Dundee); Faure's Requiem and Bach's B Minor Mass with the Edinburgh Bach Choir (Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh); Vivaldi's Gloria; Mendelssohn's Hear my Prayer, Handel's Messiah, excerpts from Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro with Scottish Sinfonia (Usher Hall, Caird Hall and Greyfriars Kirk); Two Maori Songs with the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union and Edinburgh Youth Choir (Usher Hall). Her lead character roles range from Laurie in Oklahoma!, Gabrielle in Opera Camerata's production of La Vie Parisienne by Offenbach, Betsy Cohen in the contemporary opera, Turkish Delight by Giles Howe (Camden Town, London) and the Countess in Ardingly International Music School's production of Le Nozze di Figaro. Last winter, she enjoyed immensely the opportunity to perform as a member of pop-opera band Amici Forever in Russia.Natasha has taken part in the 'Young Talent Recitals' organised by the Scottish Polish Cultural Association, as well as Masterclasses given by Malcolm Martineau, Roger Vignoles, Pat MacMahon Ashley Stafford, Stephen Varcoe, John Blakely, Sophie Daneman, Jane Manning and Jeanette Favaro-Reuter. Her vocal prizes include the Ella Lamb Trophy, the Winnifred Crawford Smith Trophy, the Begg Trophy, the Melrose Singing Prize and the Alice Robertson Prize for Singing.Of her recent performance of the Faure Requiem, the Scotsman wrote: "Her talent shone. She has an exquisite purity of tone and an abundance of colour in the lower registers, and is definitely a singer to watch".
